A little back story we redid our bathroom last year, ever since then we had low water pressure in the bathtub area and having to shower head we had before wasn’t really helping the situation I felt like I was rinsing my hair forever and would still have residue in my hair .. when the spark pod came I didn’t read the directions thoroughly, when the shower head was installed by my handyman then I noticed I should’ve probably changed the restrictions out (my mistake) the first time I showered I couldn’t believe how much water I was getting even with the 1.8 restriction. I love the rainfall it’s so soothing and relaxing almost like a gentle massage and most importantly it washed out my shampoo out fast! By far the best $30 I have spent. My showers are now a phenomenal experience I am reluctant to end. I had low water pressure out of a small shower head in my apartment and my showers were becoming a miserable affair of trying to rinse the soap off, but this shower head solved my problems. Installation was as simple as unscrewing the former one and screwing this one in. I also installed the higher volume water limiter and it took me about a minute to do. If you are having shower issues, and a shower head is your problem, consider it solved with this one. ... show more

The good- easy to install and very high pressure. Seemed like I ran out of hot water very quickly. Not sure if that was all due to the shower head. I do know that my shower had a water saving head on previously so I did not know how strong the flow was or would be. So maybe for others, this shower head won’t make a difference. But for me, the pressure was high, almost uncomfortable. Anyways, I decided I wanted to slow down the rate of water so I removed the head to add the water restrictor. That’s when I found the “bad”… The bad- the “chrome” is merely a cheap finish. It’s started to come off the outside of the pipe attachment piece as well inside the pipe. I’m not surprised it came off the outside. I had to use pliers to tighten it. I’m just worried about the chrome inside the pipe. Idk if its dangerous. Are the chrome flakes now in my water? What if the tiny flakes get into my eyes? ... show more

After like 6 years of using my old Delta showerhead I realized it was annoying me. The spray came out in a cone shape and my shower pipe is pretty high on the wall, so by the time the water got to me, it was spread out in a wide pattern and only half of the water could hit me at any one time. So I ordered multiple heads on Amazon and compared them all one morning a couple of weeks ago. It delivers a soaking rain-like experience. The broad head means that you get flow over a large area of your body and is very comforting. The streams of water come out of the head parallel to one another, so the water all lands on your skin in an area about the size of the shower head itself...in other words, the spray doesn't fan out so half the water's on your body and half's just doing down the drain. The force of the jets is pleasant, neither needle-y nor anemic. I have the 2.5 GPM restrictor in place. Here's where the other heads weren't as good: The hammerhead was ok, but it definitely felt like more water was coming out jets in some parts of the head than others, sort of like a gas grill sometimes has hot spots and cold spots. All the jets in the Sparkpod feel like they're pumping out the same flow. The high Sierra is the sort of showerhead you find in economy motels...it incorporates a lot of air and doesn't have individual jets, just a noisy, splattery flow, like from a garden hose. Which actually, for what it was, wasn't too bad...it is designed to save water and if you had limited options or need to save water, it'd be fine, but it's not a preferred experience. The Aisoso jets were a little too tiny and high-pressure for me...a little like being attacked by a tribe of WaterPiks. And didn't cover as broad an area as the bigger-headed units. I don't know why I ordered the Grohe...I've always found showerheads that had different settings to be dumb...I will never say, "Oh, today I want to switch it to the massage instead of the spray setting." And I didn't feel like any of the settings were very nice. So there you have it. After two weeks the Sparkpod has really upped my shower experience. The hot water doesn’t run with the same pressure up here and we were used to water pressure on a first floor. So, I live in an apartment and the original shower head was terrible. Like, barely a trickle of water. I got sick of that and ordered this showerhead, and it is wonderful. In fact, I may have to reinstall the water restriction valve, because it gets so much better flow that it nearly ripped the shower curtain off. Apparently, we don't have low water pressure, we just had a terrible showerhead before. Installation was super easy, didn't require anything not included in the box, and just worked the first time. Install took me all of five minutes and four of those were getting the old head off and cleaning off the pipe. I suppose if you had a truly immense shower or some kind of nonstandard shower arm range of motion might be an issue, but I don't really see how. It points in all the directions I can see wanting to point your shower from a standard arm. Sure, it only has the one setting, rain shower, but I've never found myself using other settings much anyway. It's easy to install, provides an excellent shower, and comes with flow restrictor valves so you can tailor the flow to your preferences and/or local laws. ... show more
