  • So far, so good.
I really wanted the Battlemage B580 from Intel, rather than either AMD or Nvidia for a graphics card, and for video editing, it needed to be ideally an X16 graphics card and with at least 10GB of memory, or more, but the card was elusive as it was bought out by scalpers and resold on eBay. In early January, I found a listing here on Amazon for the Sparkle branded A770, the previous gen Intel card, also known as Alchemist. It's I believe to be a true 4K card with 16GB of memory and has had several driver updates since introduction 2 years or so ago and some of its early teething issues have since then become abated. It went into a 15th gen based Core 7 Ultra build, which also included a fresh, new chipset and socket and my choice was potential future proofing for at least a couple of generations, though that's no guarantee. Anyway, I run at the moment, a year old 1080P 22" monitor from Onn (a Walmart brand) and a Dell 27" 4K monitor. The Onn monitor is connected to Display Port via DP to HDMI dongle at the card due to it having a display port, and is 1080P, the Dell can do Display Port, but via the USB C connector at the monitor and full size DP port on the card and there is only 1 HDMI port. Sadly, the dongle does not pass anything higher than 1080P, so the Onn got that, and the Dell runs full HDMI for 4K. After all updates, including Intel graphics card drivers, Gigabyte BIOS updates etc, the card runs great and I think the image is a bit sharper on both monitors. Previous card was an older GT1030 from Nvidia that goes with the previous small form factor Dell that this current PC I built replaces. Setting it up for 2 monitors took a few minutes but I was able to get it set up, and have the mouse move between them. Preliminary trial of Davinci Resolve 19 (most recent version) on a 1080P timeline not optimized yet showed mostly all smooth scrubbing of H.264 footage. Not bad at all. Really like this card and just FYI, like most cards of recent generations, 3 Display Ports and one HDMI port, while they technically can do upwards of 8K with the latest iterations of both the Display Port specs and HDMI specs, the card itself, depending on the model you have may not be capable of doing 4K without struggling for anything but playback of video, let alone many games and not produce higher frame rates. Likely not anything as powerful as a 4090 or 5090, but it is not a 2000 dollar card for the 5090, but instead, sells for under 350 US. While it is not the latest iteration of XeSS 2, it has many of the current Battlemage specs via software/driver updates for Battlemage as well. So far it's stable and works smoothly. Glad I went ahead with getting this card as the B580 has been hard to find. ... show more

  • Not bad for Intel's first try
4 stars because it's not the very best card. Important to understand it's probly more suited for 1440p gaming and probably best to pair with a high end cpu. RDR2 maxed out at 1080p, constant 100+ fps and never saw less than 60. Watchdogs Legion, maxed out + medium ray tracing at 1080p = playable, RT off = probably 60+ fps all the time. Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order maxed out at 1080p = playable, high settings locked to 60 fps = constant 60 fps. Note, my monitor is 1080p 180hz, CPU i3 14100. CPU temps regularly shot up to 100c and = thermal throttling. This card likes 1440p and probly at least i7 12700k or better CPU. ... show more

  • Sparkle Proves to be a Worthy Graphics Card Provider
Eleven months into using my ASRock PG Arc A770 16GB card, it had a break down. Thankfully, ASRock had me ship it to them to see if it can be saved. So while I await news, I purchased the Sparkle Arc A770 Roc Edition. After using it for nearly two weeks of steady use, the Roc Edition version proves it can go head to head with ASRock’s Phantom Gaming Arc card. After putting the Roc through multiple benchmarks, it came back to be tit for tat in nearly every single benchmark result. Performance, temps, you name it. The only part where it falls short is fan noise. But that is to be expected as it is a two fan card compared to Sparkle’s Titan A770 or ASRock’s PG cards (both of them are triple fan cards). Power consumption is pretty much the same across the board. In almost every thing is the Roc tied with the PG. I almost went with the Titan but I’ve heard a few nightmare stories about hardware failure, so I chose the Roc. In the end, I’m happy with this card. ... show more

  • Used
I received a used card. Seals were broken. Fans dusty. Fingerprints all over it and in a gigabyte static wrap. Nothing but card in the box. No instructions or anything.

  • So far an excellent 1440p graphics card
I bought it out of curiosity, I watched several youtube videos, reddit blogs, looking for information and the opinions were mixed, but after a few weeks of testing it out with different games (old and new) I can 100% say that it is a great graphics card, it handles the majority of games on ultra settings, no bugs or errors have show up. I hope more people buy this card to put some pressure on AMD and Nvidia. My PC has a Ryzen 5 5600X processor, 32GB of ram at 3200Mhz, 2TB SSD and a 750W PSU if you guys need a reference. This card actually draws quite a bit of power, so it is necessary to have a 650W PSU or higher to avoid problems. Also make sure your motherboard has resizable bar as this is a must for the graphics card. ... show more

  • Compatibility
It was much to much overkill for my platform. My system is older generation and the newer graphics card was not compatible. Works great, just had issues on my system.
