First, The stand is sent in a very well packaged but VERY TIGHT condition, be sure to have a 1/4" Socket set handy to loosen these bolts & nuts. The Mfgr sends along a '1-piece 'toy socket wrench' that is supposed to assist its setup to go smoothly in setting this up...well this isn't quite right! The best friend you'll have is a good little socket set....This is an awesome stand, heavy & well constructed with a large, real non-slip base and open backside that will assist in heat dissipating from the backside. The clicking swivel is smooth and reassuring that this unit is not a toy! I have a 15.6" Monitor sitting on it, and though it is one of the newer lightweight monitors, I have no doubt even if it weighed 5X more, this stand would handle it without complaints. I do have one suggestion; My monitor is more than willing to slide off the small support ledges, even though these supports have 'Silicone' grip, the monitor still wants to slide off (this could be because I have it standing at 75-80 deg vertically?) So I used a strip of 2-pc Velcro (See photo with arrow) about 1-1/2"L x 3/8" W on each end, now 'nothing short of a major shake' is going to make this monitor slide off. This is an excellent stand and well worth the small addl cost over some of the other brands that will 'just' let you get by. This stand is real!

Got this not for a laptop, but a large pen display drawing tablet (Gaomon PD1161). The kind with a screen that acts as a monitor that you draw on. These frequently need some kind of stand to raise the tablet up from the table, and to allow for adjusting the angle. Stands specifically sold as "pen display stands" are more expensive and there are fewer choices out there. The price on this stand was very reasonable. This suits my needs just fine. I use this on a large lap desk on a couch. The stand is very heavy and has rubber feet so it doesn't slide around. I was really surprised about how heavy and sturdy this stand is. You can loosen/tighten the tilt adjuster as needed, I set it just tight enough so that it stays where I want it, but also allows for some adjustment as needed. If you will be using this for a laptop, and will be typing on its keyboard, the tilt should stay put with the pressure. The stand surface is a bit taller than my pen display tablet, and the 2 little tabs that hold the tablet in place do stick out a little bit at the bottom past the tablet bottom edge, but that's fine. The stand was designed for a likely thicker laptop so that shouldn't get in your way. If you are getting this for something very thin though, do note that those tabs might be sticking out a bit at the bottom. One slight annoyance is that you do need the included wrench to make more major adjustments on the arm. I haven't needed to tighten it up since i first got it, because I have it just tight enough where I can still adjust it with some force. But if you will need to adjust it more frequently, you'll need the wrench. I do think it would have been convenient to have some kind of little clips to hold the wrench on the base or something. I worry that thing is gonna get lost.

It holds up a significant amount of weight! I wish it had an option to lock the rotation in place, rather than clicking each time I use it. I bought it for my Ableton Push 3 and other music equipment. It holds the weight perfectly, so very versatile! It can definitely hold up any laptop you could put on it. Comfortable to use, great range of angles, perfect size. Great value for the price. Definitely not made cheap! The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is that it doesn't lock in place.

I rarely review. This product is deserving as I have owned many laptop stands over the years. Top quality, infinitely adjustable, works out of the box, rounded corners, has some weight to it to hold larger 16" laptops. This is great product design with attention to quality build.

I’ve had this for about 3 years now, and it’s been great. It’s sturdy, easy to adjust, and the rotating feature is actually really useful during work. I like that it helps with posture and keeps my desk setup more comfortable. It also still looks good and works well after all this time, which says a lot. Very happy with this purchase.

When I first opened the box, I thought um where are the directions? There was some random tool, and I had no idea what it was for. I had to go back on Amazon to watch a video. I figured out after the 3rd video the tool was to tighten the screws when they get lose (I don't think that is happening anytime soon). I can definitely say that this stand is sturdy. So sturdy that it took some man power to get it to lift up. But it is definitely not going anywhere. Nice stand. Will probably purchase some more.
