    • Use a subwoofer amp!
These things are an incredinle deal and hit hard and clean. I have a audio legion 1600 pushing them and they are bumping hard! Remember to break in your woofers! They will get louder with time. Someone mentioned running them off of a multichannel amp and that is not only laughable but also pointless. Power them with a propper mono block amp and they will be you new favorite money well spent story. I have had a system in every car that I have ever owned over 10 now and this set up sounds clean! The quality bandpass box alone is worth this money. If you want competition bass then yeah buy some Sundowns or a Orion Hcca, more batteries, monster amps and be ready to drop tons of $$$ but for your daily bumping needs, look no further. ... show more

I'm not goin to go in to the mathematically reason why I'm not a big fan of these bandpass style subwoofers but I will tell you these speakers are design for folks that only require a little bit of bass with their music, and I mean a little. I mainly purchase this Sound Ordnance product as a starter set-up for my car's audio system. Eventually, I will upgrade when the money is right. I wasn't expecting too much bass but I didn't think I was going to get very little. I used a Kenwood high powered 5-channel amp. to power the subwoofer and amplify the other car speakers. In order for me to get a good amount of bass out of these woofers I pushed them at there peak by adding more wattage to the subs than what they can handle. Please don't do the same. Yea, I got the bass I wanted out of them but adding more power than what a subwoofer set can handle will definitely blow these speakers. ... show more
