I got this soundbar to use with a new 55 inch tv that has a great picture but not so great sound. Good decision - the sound bar has far better sound quality than the tv. Unlike soundbars that I have had in the past, this device can be connected so that I can control it's volume with my tv remote. It was very easy to set up - all of the instructions for different connections are printed on the back of the soundbar. It also comes with all of the cables that you might need, including an optical cable that I have had to buy for other devices. A neat feature is that it can be used as a conventional soundbar, or it can be separated into 2 standing speakers - I'm currently trying out both setup to see which I like best. It connects easily to bluetooth, so I also use it to play music from my iphone.

I wanted to upgrade the sound on my 55 inch Samsung TV in the master bedroom, withouth going for an expensive setup like in the living room...The best thing about this sound bar is the versatility it offers for the price point. There are four ways to connect this system to a TV: Optical wire, HDMI wire, Aux wire and Bluetooth. I went for a completely wireless setup, and have the system Bluetooth connected strait to my TV which so far, has given me no lag or distortion of any kind when viewing movies and shows. The small downside is that I have to use the supplied remote control to turn the system on and off separately to the TV, but if I use the supplied HDMI cord, plugged into the eArc HDMI port on the TV, the system turns on and off with the TV remote. A small sacrifice not to have to run an hdmi cord behind the wall to keep my wireless look... I have the soundbar separated, with each half standing on an opposite dresser on each side of the tv. They are far apart, and require a wired connection between the two speakers, which is built into the base for each side, as they are not independently powered, which would have been awesome but probably more expensive to do... I did have to cut the speaker wire connecting the 2 bases and add a few feet of wire to allow the 2 speakers to reach across the width of my bedroom for the way I wanted to set them up. This will NOT be necessary if you have a smaller room, or keep the speakers closer together, or intend to use the soundbar as a complete bar without splitting up the speakers. The woofer is not connected to the system by Bluetooth but the wire it connects with is VERY long and easily hidden since the woofer sits on the floor. There are many installation options with this system. THE SOUND IS AMAZING FOR THIS SIZE AND PRICE POINT. This system rivals the sound on the expensive Samsung sound bar and woofer system that I use downstairs in the living room. The remote has a large button in the center you press to toggle between a quiet mode for night time or a surround sound mode for full volume and effect. The speakers are clear even at full volume, which is far too loud for my bedroom, and voices are not drowned out in movies and shows. The woofer has deep base that you feel in your bones when you turn up the independently controlled volume on it via the remote. Feels nice to drift off to a sleep sounds video and feel all the vibrations I never felt from the TV speakers alone. I'd say this is the perfect versitile speaker system for anyone trying to improve their tv's sound in a small to medium size room, with Bluetooth connectivity and deep base on a budget of around $100.

This speaker package, including the bass speaker was like a set i had purchased many years ago at a local sound shop where i paid three times what i paid for this one. It is not a cheap plastic lightweight set that i would have expected in this price range. The packaging was well thought out and would survive even the most extreme handling. The Bass speaker delivers a nice boom even at the lower volume and the speakers themselves offer a nice, rounded sound with the perfect low middle and high sound balance. It was very easy to set up and is what i am currently using for my desktop PC. I do love listening to music but i would not say that i am an expert so i cannot comment on the technical aspects of the set but i can say that i am very happy with the sound and would buy it again. I do recommend this if it fits your budget and to date i have not found a better setup for my home PC. As a bonus it is nice to have the remote to really dial in the perfect sound but for me it is not necessary to get the sound that i like. I would say that i was pleasantly surprised with this purchase and honestly would not suggest you look any further even if you have to spend just a little more than you had planned on. Even with my mp3 files i am getting more intricate, i guess i would call it, sounds from music i have had on my hard drive for years. Super happy with this sound system.
