I found setting up the fingerprint reader a little bit tricky. Initially, I tried to set up multiple fingers, including my thumb, index, middle, and ring fingers, to open the case. It seemed to work for all four fingers until my son was also successful in opening it using his finger. Upon reading the instructions carefully, I registered the same index finger four times within ten seconds, and the ring light turned green with one short and one long beep. This approach worked as expected without any false readings. The fingerprint reader's response time is reasonably fast, taking about a second, and operates smoothly. The safe is made of solid metal material, and it feels secure enough to prevent kids from accessing any items you do not want them to touch. However, it is not intended to stop intruders who intentionally use tools to break in. It is better to install it in a location that is not easily visible but still easily accessible for yourself. Therefore, it is a fit-for-purpose solution rather than an all-in-one solution.

This is a great little safe for holding 1 firearm. It is sturdy and seems well built. I wish that it had more numbers to set a digital code with (it has 1,2,3,4) but I'm sure that available space the for keypad had something to do with that. I found that setting the code was easy and straight forward (and you can enter a longer code than just 4 numbers - you are just limited to using combinations of 1-4). Setting the fingerprint was also easy and straight forward. I like that the key access is right in front since the batteries are contained within the safe. My only other wish is that it had a little more space inside for an extra mag for a full sized semi auto. It holds my Glock 22 (40 cal w 15 round mag) just fine and it seems to have a little extra space for a larger firearm, but not quite enough for an extra mag. Oh well, I don't miss too much anyway so I probably won't need more than 15 rounds.

The media could not be loaded. Speedy shipping and arrived in 2 days. Easy setup for figure print and password access. Had it installed by the side of my night stand without any issue. Fit both my full size and CCW well. Finger prints work well and fast enough as the video show. The safe is sturdy and good looking. It's a great buy for me and serves the purpose well.

I am giving this case a 1 because of the mishaps I encountered. Granted, the mishaps were in part my fault as I did not fully understand the instructions and may I add, they weren't overly clear. The safe comes with a code of 1234 and accepts all fingerprints. I was under the impression that once you save a new code and new set of fingerprints the original setting was cleared. I think that is true for the code, but, that is not true for setting up a fingerprint. I tested my 8 digit code and it worked. I tested my fingerprint and it worked. I thought I was good and felt the testing I did was sufficient. My 5 year old grandson was around while I installed the case. When I was all done, I had work on car to do so I went out to do that. When I came in, my grandson told me he could open my new safe but that he didn't touch my gun. My heart sank. My night could have gone much different but by the grace of God it did not. I discovered that I only added my print to factory setting of allowing all prints. Had I tested another finger, I would have realized my error. So I held in button that clears all fingerprints and I resaved mine. I tested with several fingers and with several people. All seemed good. My grandson came over the next day and I asked him to try and open it again. He tried twice punching in numbers and ending each sequence with putting his finger on the reader thinking he needed to do that. On his 3rd try he happened to type in 1234 and the case opened. I was none too happy. Instructions say the reset button only wipes out fingerprints. They say to change the code you must save a new code. I never tested the code as I had a safe 8 digit code I set up. However, the reset button must have reset the code back to factory default of 1234 since that opened it. I entered saved my 8 digit code again. Having been stupid several times now I've tried several codes, several fingerprints, and asked several people to try and open it. I think I'm good now please God. I'm very mad at how this is all set up and thus gave a 1. The reason for this purchase was to have a gun handy but to keep family safe. This purchase almost cost me one of my greatest treasures, my grandson. The company needs to send this case clear of all fingerprints instead of allowing all prints, and they need to update instructions saying the master reset button will return code to 1234 as well as wipe out all fingerprints. I test this case periodically now. If the slightest issue comes up between now and 1/30/24 I will be sending it back.
