This reel is heavy duty and very smooth. It casts well and has good drag. I really like the knob on the reel handle. It makes for a good grip when trying to reel large fish. I would recommend this reel if you plan to go after large fish

Great saltwater reel for bait and wait guys. Cast great, not as heavy as it may appear. Is it sealed? Probably not but time will tell. It definitely is what you pay for. Spool is huge but not deep. Wish it carried a little more line cap but at least you get longer casting distances. Love the power handle. Works awesome. Spray some lube in it and it handles so much better.

This is a big real set up for catching some big fish. It has all of the features you'd expect from a spinning reel. Pair it up with a large surf casting rod and tackle and you're in business to catch some of the big fish near the shore. Cranking power seems more than adequate.

This is a big, heavy duty reel. Action is butter smooth. I wanted to put together a new ocean fishing rig. This reel will do the job easily for what I had plans for. It is probably a little too big, but better safe than sorry. I am looking forward to the next striper fishing trip.

The media could not be loaded. It’s fairly smooth gliding with maybe only a hint of rubbing at certain settings. There’s machined aluminum with some plastics involved but overall it doesn’t feel that bad at all. It’s light weight, fast reeling, and feels pretty durable. I just am afraid of getting sand on this. The reel came setup for left handed use but I swapped the crank to the other side for right handed use. When you flip the wire to release the spool for casting it’s a bit clunky feeling and it’s not the most luxurious build quality if you compare it to more expensive models, but it works and is probably well suited for beginners that don’t go fishing very often. I didn’t have huge expectations considering the price point but I can’t get it to bind or grind gears so at least it’s got that going for it. Has nice action for what it is, and if the fish can’t tell the difference, then let’s go catch some fish with it.
