I own several portable fishing rod kits, with telescopic rods and quick attach reels, and this one is the nicest yet. The rod uses friction to keep in the extended position, and felt solid when moving it around. It was too long to take a picture of it fully extended, but it was light and maneuverable and held its shape as I whipped it around with a good deal of force. The reel isn't amazing, but it does operate smoothly. You have to insert the hex rod of the handle though the body to attach the spinner, but once screwed in, it's very solid. Removing the handle lets you put the whole kit into the nice case that came with the set. The fishing line looks interesting, and is a nice touch to make the kit complete. I'll be taking this to the lake this coming weekend, and if doesn't perform to expectations, I'll update this review, otherwise, you can assume it fishes are good as it looks. Five stars for this very nice all-in-one portable fishing kit.

I ordered the SOUGAYILANG Fishing Pole Combo for my sister, who is a very capable and natural beginner fisherwoman, but has been borrowing rods to go fishing; and now that I know that this is not just some passing fad of hers, I thought it was about time she owned her own rod. The elegantly designed and well-constructed detachable pole with reel was tailored made for traveling. Each piece fit snugly inside a customized case and included a variety of artificial baits. I had a veteran fisherman take a look at the rod and reel combo and he commented, that the pole possessed impressive casting ability, which will help my sister successfully cast the line into a school of her preferred game. The SOUGAYILANG fishing rod and reel combo was also ideal for a beginner who fishes in varied climates, lakes, rivers or streams.
