I requested this product to review when the listing described it as including two sketchbooks. I received one sketchbook, and the listing has since been updated as being for one sketchbook only. To focus on the sketchbook - The book contains 100 sheets of medium lightweight cream-colored sketch paper in a 5.5 x 8.5 inch format, with a sturdy wire binding on the long side. The cover is a fairly typical lightweight coated card stock, and the backing board is a medium to thick firm cardboard that supports the book properly for handheld sketching. The paper is in the lighter range for sketchbooks of this type, which is an advantage for people who like a book that’s easy to haul around. The tooth of the paper takes graphite really well. If using fine liner markers, expect the possibility of some ghosting on the back of the page. Since I draw primarily in graphite and then ink with fine liner, I only draw on one side of the page to prevent graphite smearing and the light ghosting is not a concern for me at all. My overall impression of the sketchbook is that it is a good quality work sketchbook for high-volume sketching. It’s not a luxury sketchbook, but I don’t believe that’s what was intended to be. I find it to have the right combination of no-frills and no problems, with comfortable size and weight for artists who burn through page after page with graphite or other dry media studies. A good addition to the drawing bench if you catch it a good price.

I got this for my ten-year-old daughter, who loves to draw for Christmas. You can never have too many sketchpads; this one was small enough to keep in a purse. The paper is lightweight and cream-colored. The binding is sturdy and takes a good tug to tear the page out, which was a plus for carrying it around in a bag. The ink bleeds through if you use markers or something heavy-duty. I love that she can keep all her drawings secure in one place, and she loves that she can take with her anywhere to draw and sketch when she wants.

This is a good small sketchbook that is nice for bringing along when I travel. It's about the same size as some planners I've seen so it should fit into a purse if you have one big enough, but it tucks right away into my backpack which is perfect for me. Nice!

The paper is 68 lbs, which is good for pencils, colored pencils, pastels, oil pastels. The sketchbook tucks into a small backpack nicely. I did a quick sketch with a dual tip permanent marker, and it will bleed through. You can be pretty creative with that, of course. See above pictures, hopeful you get inspiration by what you might do with this sketchbook. I recommend a sketchbook to any creative person who finds themselves doing a lot of artwork on the computer, to give your hands and eyes a different way of working. I'm just getting back into artwork after many years of pursuing other interests. This book is perfect for charcoal and pencil sketching. I haven't tried it yet for water colors yet, although other reviewers suggest it's not the best paper for wet media. (They likely know better than I do!). Each page is perforated parallel to the spiral binding, so you can tear them out as/if required. The book is a great size to fit into your bag and carry with you .... even on a hike. I can't speak to the quality of the paper but it's a decent weight and works for me at this point.

Got this for my wife, who's the artist in the family. She says this 5-1/2” by 8-1/2” inch sketch book is perfectly sized to carry along with her sketch pencils in her shoulder bag. It is also perfectly sized for in-field sketching without being too large or too small. For you artist’s out there, she says she also likes the “tooth” of the paper (she explained that this is the roughness and how well the paper's surface grabs the charcoal or pencil), She also says she loves that the spiral binding allows the pages to lay flat in the open position. This little sketch book is a wonderful addition to her grab-and-go sketch bag that she keeps handy at all times!
