I like it well enough. Smells really nice, lasts a long time. VERY cute and kitschy packaging and glass container. The only con is the price. It's very, very overpriced. I'd say this is a $30 candle. It doesn't wash the whole room with scent, I have a rather small master bedroom and it doesn't fill my room with fragrance, even after being lit for quite a while. I've enjoyed all of the Vacation products I've bought so far, but I won't be repurchasing this simply because it's priced badly. If it was $12 cheaper I probably would. ... show more

    • Smells great, don't know about the balls
As a kid, when we’d play tennis at the public courts around the corner, we’d always play with a bucket of old, used tennis balls that were mostly flat and barely bounced. But every once in a great while, somebody would spring for a brand new can of balls, and even now, the smell of a freshly opened can is one of those sense memory things that always brings me back and reminds me of a special moment in time. Anyway, does the smell of this candle remind me of that very specific nostalgic smell? No, not really. But is it a great smelling candle nevertheless? Absolutely! (To be clear, I’m basing my opinion on smelling the unlit candle — and they don’t cut corners on strength of fragrance; I could smell the candle through both the sealed box and the cello wrapping when I removed it from the shipping package — and not burning it. So maybe that could change my perception). I think in this case, the overwhelming aromatic sensation I get is one of intense spicy freshness and some mysterious green quality. Maybe something a little synthetic? To represent the fuzzy felt? There's a clean aspect to it that reminds me of an expensive soap. Let's just say it smells terrific. Granted, I think anytime a scent departs from the literal in its description and moves into the figurative, there’s a certain amount of subjective interpretation, suggestion and imagination involved. In which case, does it evoke memories of a sunny day on the courts? Sure, why not. Reflecting on it, even if they were able to replicate it faithfully, would I really enjoy a candle that smelled of rubber and synthetic fabric and the inside of a plastic tube? Sure, it’d be a fun novelty at first, but would probably wear out its welcome pretty quickly. I typically find the scent of most sunscreens to be cloying and unpleasant; I’m not familiar with Vacation sunscreen, but if their other products smell half as good as this, I’ll need to pick some up. The candle is nicely packaged and well made. It could make a fun novelty gift for a tennis aficionado. ... show more

Sorry, these smell more like a port-a-potty deodorizer than a cancel one would want to burn in their house. Definitely NOT like a new can of tennis balls.
