This is one of those accessories you just need to have in order to maintain hygiene on your tattoo machine. It's pretty easy to setup and will save you a bunch of time when it comes to sterilizing. You should still sterilize but this does help.

Let me start out by saying that I'm not a tattoo artist at all. I picked these up as they actually met two different needs that I had. I wanted the grip tape for our medical kit, to help with keeping bandages on - we also have some ideas for a Halloween costume where we would benefit from having a lot of this tape. At this price, it seemed like a pretty good deal to get another 8 rolls of it. I've used some cheaper tape before that doesn't self-adhere all that well, but this tape didn't have any issues at all. It also had a natural fold-over on each roll to make it easy to start pulling the tape off - a nice touch. The quality is actually superior to what I had expected at this price point. It feels great against the skin and adheres to itself quite well. It seems that this is the same grip tape that all of the different tattoo pen sleeve sellers are bundling with their sleeves. As for the pen sleeves, we have some art projects at home where we can benefit from having some of the art material (like paint pens) within a sleeve like this in order to help limit the amount of paint transfer getting onto kid hands. These pen sleeves may work for that purpose. These sleeves were really hard to open up/separate, and they ripped much easier than other pen sleeves that I've tried for this purpose. If the pen sleeves are your primary concern, I'd recommend you pick up a different brand's sleeves. ... show more
