Great for people who have a hard time swallowing large capsules. I originally bought these for a slightly smaller dosage than my 200 mg pills. Was pleasantly surprised to find that the pills are considerably smaller than the average capsules I take. I only gave four stars because I only used one day. But, so far so good, no negative side effects.

I've been using several other more expensive brand products that contain L-theanine, which as this product is marketed, offers stress relief, better mental focus and better quality sleep. At the time that I ordered this recently, another product had gone up in price yet again and so I thought, what the heck, I'll try this less expensive brand. Having used it for several weeks, here are my thoughts. PROS: For starters, the capsules are smaller than the branded product I was using so it's easier to swallow. The quality of the L-theanine is on par with my prior product and as far as results, personally, I've found it to be equivalent to the other products out there in terms of stress reduction and improved focus. I'm thrilled that the price is a fraction of that in the other products out there. CONS: I'm slightly skeptical of this product for sleep. I know that's entirely subjective in that it didn't seem to change mine one way or the other but that's my only "negative" and really, since I'm not primarily using it for that purpose, it's not going to be something I can say much more about. OVERALL: Absolutely, unqualified YES to ordering more of this in the future. It works!

I've been taking l-theanine for several years now. At first, I didn't really notice any effect, but now if I stop and start I immediately notice the difference. It's very subtle, but there: a calming, soothing, peaceful feeling spreads from it. Not the kind that kills a panic attack immediately, but the kind that sometimes carries you through the day so nothing really stresses you out THAT badly. This is potent & has a great price. The pills are super tiny! They're caps, too, so it's very easy to swallow them. I take one in the morning and one at night, along with drinking ice green tea. It promotes a feeling of well being and helps soften the rough edges of aging a bit.

L-Theanine is supposed to be very calming. It's derived from green tea. I had to give up tea because the tannins in it gave me vertigo. I had hoped that with the l-theanine I could avoid that issue. Didn't tho. Tried it one time before bed and woke up with horrible vertigo, everything was spinning. No other family member wanted to risk trying it so it ended up in the trash.

I was taking 200 mg of l theanine daily, purchased from Walmart, the spring valley brand they sell inside the store. I saw these and thought the price was good, I ordered these SOS brand l theanine and started taking 300 mg the first day, after the first day I had a terrible headache, didn’t think it had anything to do with the l theanine, but after the 3rd day and an increase in dosage to 600 mg, I still had the worst withdrawal headache. I went back to the store and bought the ones I had switched from and I’m glad to say the withdrawal headache is gone. I don’t believe these are 150mg and I also don’t believe they are pure l theanine, just my opinion.
