Purchased about a month ago. It is cute and small, which works because I have a small place. I don't typically pay extra for assembly but I did and would do it again. The first guys that were here were really kind, but that one was damaged out if the box so we had to send it back. They were unable to exchange, so have to just return and re-buy. The second guys were fine too and the job got done. The right door is janky and sticks, so I just don't really open it or mess with it. Wasn't worth sending it back again and seems consistent with other reviews I've read. It's still hot in AZ so I haven't used the heat yet. The roomba doesn't fit under it but the broom does, so good enough. I also ordered and paid for the insurance but have yet to recieve anything, even after emailing. I had to send the first one I received back due to damage. It was made as easy as possible to return. I received the second one and it was in good shape. It is a heavy box but very well packaged. I had no trouble putting it together by myself. A ratchetting screwdriver sped things up. The instructions were easy to follow and all the pieces fit together as they were meant to. I was missing a spring for setting the lower pin on one of the doors, but I used one for a pen and it's fine. Once together, it's a good looking, solid piece. It moves easily so getting it were I wanted was no problem. It's more brown than grey, in case that matters to anyone. The style is perfect for my current preferences. Once it is finally put together, it is very cute. I gave it 4 stars because: the directions are only pictures and some of them are hard to read (causing us to put a few things on backwards resulting in broken hardware. There is only 1 predrilled hole for the two back pieces. There were a few small areas of damage on the top piece and the fireplace was slightly dented ( none of which are visible when assembled nor prevent the piece from working properly). I would say it definitely takes 2 people and a lot of patience… I suggest waiting until fully rested and in good spirits prior to assembly or pay for the expert assembly. Maybe don’t try to assemble on a Friday night when you and your boyfriend have had a long exhausting week with little sleep and possibly prone to crabbiness. We are both still alive and relatively uninjured-only minor scratches and bruised egos were acquired. We still love each other and our relationship was not damaged in the process but definitely challenged. Good luck! ... show more

As a single 24 year old 5’4 female i somehow got this packet up 2 flights of stairs by myself. Easily over 100lbs so definitely recommend having a 2nd helper put this together- it it wasn’t for my friend i honestly would have had a lot harder of a time doing it. The directions aren’t the best but common sense can help fill the flaws on the flow of the packet. Happy with my purchase serves the purpose i need it for and puts out very strong heat power for when using it for warmth. Love my new stand!!!! It is made out of a similar to IKEA cheap wood material but i don’t have much use for it besides to hold my tv and books. If you are wanting it to hold more heavy material i would suggest a higher quality grade of this kind of fireplace. ... show more
