This is the second set of these I bought. They keep an edge and cut clean. I use my planer more than the average shop. I have all my lumber rough cut on a saw mill and plane myself. I figure I plane a few 1000 feet a year so keeping sharp blades is very important. I recommend these knives for any hobby shop planer.

Good sharp blades, I've bought quite a few sets, only thing is sometimes they have small nicks in them that cause one or a few lines in the wood. probably 50% of them or so. Not enough for me to be dissatisfied at all there still a great buy for the price, but if your really picky you might reconsider. they also last just as long as any other blade I've used and I also re sharpened them for a second use with good results.

Easy to install, but be careful....sharp and easy to cut yourself. Fit fine in my old 1300 planer. OE were 80 bucks, no way is this machine worth that.

I have used these blades for 4 or 5 years with good success. They are always very sharp and true. Can not beat the price.

They did not last but about 10' on Maple. Carbide blades is the only way to go. But these are not carbide, so they are as I would expect. I reserve the 5th start for items that make me think "WOW".

When we have to retro fit on site we must bring a planer along with a "portable mill shop". I use a Ridged. I have previously purchased replacement blades from a chain of home repair stores. (don't know if I can use name). These blades seem to have lost some quality over the years. When I put in the Powertec HSS TP1300 blades I have yet to change or flip over since installation over 200 hrs ago. I beleive they are of the same quality I use in the Jet shop planer. Worthy of sharpening. By the way, We use all hardwood and have ran Corian through as well. C S, CSC Inc

Can't believe Ryobi doesn't make these knives anymore. My Ryobi planner just keeps going and going which means I have to keep buying these knives. I honestly don't have anything to compare them to. They work well for me. They are sharp and cut smooth. Easy to change on my Ryobi. Only downside, too expensive so 4 stars.
