    • Does NOT include everything you need.
This is partially my fault for not understanding that a "kit" doesn't necessarily have everything in it that's needed. But this "kit" does not include everything you're going to need and it's really important to understand that before you order so you get everything when you need it. I'm a little irritated because this is not cheap and it would have been nice if it came with everything it needed. You're going to need to spend another $200 to get the brake and the dado plate. I really wish I had understood that when I purchased so I would have everything I need for my project right now. Also, why is it so expensive?! I can't really say anything about how it works because I can't use it yet and I'm off to spend a ridiculous amount of money to get everything else... ... show more

My dado set arrived today (several days late). The plastic knob holding the blades was broken, the blades had obviously moved about in transit and some shims were not in the shim holder, and so they were scratched and dimpled. I am apprehensive about using this because I fear some of the carbide tips may have been damaged. I will be returning it. ... show more

I bought this dado stack when I bought my sawstop 2 years ago. I’m a single man shop but woodworking is my full time job so this set has seen a significant amount of use. I have been extremely impressed with how sharp these blades have stayed, I’ve yet to have them resharpened. The accuracy and precision of the cut is top notch too. The case is also really nice for holding the brake cartridge so everything is in the same spot when you need it. I took a chance on this set when the guy at woodcraft recommended it and I couldn’t be happier. I’m not sure what the negative reviews are about as I would recommend this to any other professional ... show more

    • ATTENTION Sawstop jobsite saw owners!
So I've got a full size table saw and a bunch of blades to go with it, figured I'd be good to go with the two dado blades I have when I went to do a project on site with my sawstop jobsite saw. NOPE. Turns out dado blades are not an exact 8 inches on... Well just about every brand. 8 1/8 is pretty common. And it turns out that the brake cartridge is not adjustable on the jobsite saw like it is on other sawstop saws, so if you have a slightly large blade that is too close to the cartridge, you're outta luck. Saw is going to detect a potential contact and it won't turn on, and you just aren't going to be cutting dadoes and rabbets today. But this dado blade is promised to work with their jobsite saw, and it does indeed. The cuts are just as clean as anything I do on my 5hp industrial and it doesn't bog down the motor, so this is a great purchase in my opinion. Just wish I had known I would absolutely need it before I showed up to the job. ... show more
