  • Wow, what a great value
Wow, what a great TV this has been so far. It’s a bit of a smart TV, with direct button access in the remote for Netflix streaming and other 3rd party functions. Only issue I have with the remote is that it isn’t backlit, but that’s a minor quibble given the price and the fact that most users will operate the TV using their cable box remote instead. Set up was super easy, and it walks you through it out of the box. Teaching it the remote code for our Comcast remote was also so easy and simple, I forgot how I did it already. Works flawlessly too. The picture quality is stellar, and the number of onscreen menus for controlling various picture and sound parameters is adequate. I was also pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of the built in speakers, which apparently fire down the bottom panel of the set and not out the front. I think it uses internal cavity space as a sound enhancer, because it produces surprisingly full bodied sound and not the usually super tinny, weak sound that most flat panel TVs we’ve had produce. You could almost get away without a sound bar in a medium sized room , but you may want a sound bar or surround system if you watch a lot of action. Regardless, I think most people will be surprised by the sound quality of this thing’s built in speakers. Overall, it’s been a stellar value so far, and has worked flawlessly since we got it. Would definitely purchase again. Even though these flat panel TVs seem to get cheaper and bigger every year, I’d imagine this tv would still be a competitive value over a year after I bought it Five stars and two thumbs up. ... show more

  • Great color, super resilution but some connectivity problems. UPDATE
From right out of the box 2 of us set it up in 15 minutes. The color is fantastic and it is very clear. My Dish isn't 4K but the picture is nearly as good. I watched 4K video from You Tube & it's super. Viewing from an angle shows no degradation. Following the bouncing hockey puck shows no artifacts. On the downside there is no Audio Out! Why! There is an earphone jack but it turns off the internal speakers. To use both internal & external speakers requires soldering the headphone jack switch off. I'm not going there. You can use HDMI-ARC ( Audio Return Channel) or Digital Audio Output, but setting them requires turning off the internal speakers. Again Why ! This could be a simple software upgrade. Well my daughter & son-in-law gave me a Sony sound bar for Fathers Day. I set it up using HDMI-ARC. Works great! I don't need the internal speakers with the sound bar. ... show more

  • Best bang for your buck!
I was replacing an old 1080p TV with a Roku on it and after searching through reviews from last year and the new models this year, I decided on the 55X750H from Sony. And man, the phrase "happy wife, happy life" could not be more true. This TV has an amazing picture..we were blown away by the colors and how sharp the clarity was. Out of the box, I'm not one to want to fine tune my picture..I want simple and easy and I wasn't disappointed. My wife loved the easy to use remote with the Netflix button right on it. We are a cord cutting family and this checked all the boxes for us. Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Disney+, Hulu Tv... Android also is cool because I can cast Facebook videos or YouTube videos from my phone without having to pick up my remote. And the rest of the App store is huge!!! I was also happy with the motion. I have been to stores and heard that Sony had the best picture quality and motion when it came to sports and movies and IT IS TRUE! We watched Avengers and it looked awesome. I'd recommend this tv to anyone who wants a great TV without breaking the bank...if realistic color, motion, picture sharpness is what you are looking for...Buy this TV! ... show more

  • There's a whole lot of bang for the buck here
When my elderly (12 year old) 45" Sony Bravia TV finally gave up the ghost, I bit the bullet and went into the market for a new TV. I was pretty astonished to see you could a 65" Bravia for less than what I bought my old one for back then, but that's progress, right? So how is the finished product? Quite good! It's not flawless, but there's a lot to like, especially considering the incredibly low price point being offered here for a 65" 4K HDR set. Setup with Google was a snap, although I can imagine it would be less pleasant, and more difficult, if you didn't already have a well established Google account for it to link to for setting up apps. The picture is outstanding for a TV this size priced at less than $800. I mean, it has absolutely no business being that good, that big, and that cheap at the same time. This set "only" uses the entry level Sony Android TV processor, but .. guess what? It still looks awesome. I see some people complaining about HDMI audio/visual lags, but I haven't run into them (yet). Are there flaws? Sure. A lot of the ones I've run into are compatibility issues around master control. Basically, if you use a TV strictly as an output monitor for your (Sony) receiver, expect some headaches as your TV "intelligently" (but incorrectly) decides to switch receiver outputs to the screen. Master remote software (NEEO, and others) have no way to get around this - it's pretty much on Android TV I think. However, if you can live with that for the time being, what you have as a big, easy to set up, dynamite looking TV set at a price point that's more or less impossible to hate. Some other vendors like Vizio and Samsung try to compete with the size and price points, but the picture just isn't as good as the Sony. So if you have to replace an outdated unit for whatever reason, or simply don't have a set, I can recommend this without any serious reservations. ... show more
