Our old Blu-ray player suddenly stopped working, and we needed to buy a new one. I had read many reviews searching for a new Blu-ray player and smartly chose this brand/model. It was easy to set up, and the picture is fantastic. The remote is easy to use. I read the manual to learn where all the important buttons are. I like that I can turn on/off the Blu-ray player, and open/close Disc tray with the remote control. We are extremely happy with our section. Yay! ... show more

The player performs as expected but don’t like the fact that it doesn’t have a digital display to let you know what’s happening and a clock display when the player is in the power off position. This player is heavily dependent on your tv display and on the included remote. My older Sylvania blue ray players are much better. I own three of them. They display everything that is going on, have clock displays and can be controlled with or without the remotes. ... show more

Leave it to Sony to produce the best DVD player I have ever experienced. It solved a major issue for me. I screen mirror a lot of things from my phone and my Fire TV just couldn't cut it no matter what I used .. until this DVD player. Solved my mirroring problem without any effort! And the picture quality on DVD'S is beyond superb. I think its overall quality is worth every penny. Better than any DVD player I have ever used. I am highly picky, and on a scale of 1-10 I'd rate it a 30! Get this one and I think you'll be as impressed as I am. ... show more

This is a replacement for a samsung 4K player that is not being sold any longer. This easily plugged into my existing setup and after reconfiguration of my existing remote..... I was up and running with good pictures.
