As you can tell by the title, I am pretty pleased with my purchase. It is 100% overpriced and I won't argue about that. I'm just 'kind of' a Sony fanboy and I say "kind of" because they've been dropping the ball lately. I loved the Sony Platinum Headphones and these kinda take me back and thats a big reason why I like them. Outside of that, you've probably discovered these headphones have a dongle with a little switch that allows you to switch from "PC" to "other", whatever that's supposed to mean. "Other" actually just means Playstation I'm pretty sure. Well, that part is a little confusing but they work very well on Playstation and fully support Playstations Tempest Spatial 3D audio. They get pretty loud but I notice that when using them on PS5 the volume is slightly less than that of the PC mode. Speaking of the PC mode, I have not been disappointed. I saw a review talking about how passthrough audio sucks. Well, assuming that means using a AUX cable with the headphones off then they must've had a faulty model because my headphones sound great all the way up to 24-bit 192Khz. Comparatively, the Pulse Elites sounded broken on the same quality, wired. The build quality could be a little better for $350 but considering Sony designed these headphones with consecutive prolonged use in mind, it seems like a fair tradeoff. They look very sleek, and like the Platinum Headphones I like them for that because it doesn't make them look like dedicated gaming headphones which fits my use case scenario perfectly because I use them for everything. The active noise canceling isn't great but c'mon, these are supposed to be gaming headphones and I can't recollect another time I saw gaming headphones with ANC so the fact that it even lowers the noise floor at all is awesome. It helps best if you have a fan turned on next to you (but not blowing at you) because the constant hum of the fan drowns out quiet noises on traditional headphones but not these, heightening the immersion and consequently your focus. I can't say much about the microphone other than there is no sidetone on the "Other" mode so you can't hear yourself when you talk which makes saying things coherently kind of interesting. I don't use the microphone much and for that reason it's cool that it's detachable.

These headphones almost check every single box I needed for working remotely. I take a lot of meeting, code, listen to music, and often times hang out in an "office hours" meeting to let people pop in to chat with me. The problem with bluetooth headsets is the act of sitting in that meeting degrades the audio quality just to activate the mic. Gaming headsets solve this by using a custom 2.4ghz protocol to keep audio fidelity high while still using the mic. Not only that, but I can also connect bluetooth to my phone and take calls on that separately which is a very nice perk. So many pros to list: Pros: - Very good audio quality (not audiophile grade, but much better than bluetooth w/ the mic on) - Light weight, comfortable, very easy to wear for 12+ hours at a time if needed - Simultaneous dual connectivity with 2.4ghz and BT - Solid ANC that helps cancel out background noises (kids, neighbors, etc...) - Mic that noise cancels well, actually sounds good, and has worked pretty reliability - Don't look blinged out like most gamer headsets so I can use it in a professional environment - Glad they have the red light at tip of mic when muted, though I prefer fold up to mute Cons: - Works well out of box on mac, but no mac software to manage it - I've had the 2.4ghz cut out like 20 ft away from my computer (there were a couple walls to be fair) - I would prefer a fold up to mute style mic, but not if it hinders the quality of the mic As long as I am at my desk these are as near perfect headphones as I can get. They allow me to sit in my office hours meeting, listen to music at normal quality, and take meetings while sounding professional too.

So I have had these for less than 6 months and have had issues with them since the first day I used them. Initially, I pulled them out of the box and tested them with music. I listen to music while I work, and with my phone, it seemed to work fine. It was comfortable, so I figured no worries. I didn't test the mic out, though... and that was my mistake. I did plug it in and it was positional. If you had it a very specific way it was stablish. Any other movement caused it to come loose. I really needed a solid set of headphones, my Sony's of 5 years just died on me... I have severe ADHD, and noise-canceling headphones with calm music help me stay on track. I needed a mic because I wanted to use it to make phone calls as well. Bonus would be using them during my gaming. Fast forward to beyond the return date, I finally break out the mic to use it. It won't work. I tried connecting via Bluetooth, downloading the Sony Inzone hub, and using the dongle; nothing. I direct connect using the audio cable, it works... in one ear. I tried it in a game, I could hear but not speak. I worked in IT for years; my partner just retired from IT, so we did all the usual fixes, including Reddit and YouTube, lol. Nothing. Plus, my battery works fine for hours, then I check it, and it says 50% power. Half an hour later, it tells me low battery, and shortly after, it will die. Something is severely off with that. I just registered on Sony's website and submitted a ticket. At this point, I just want my money back. I will continue the search for headphones that don't hurt my ears/head for long sessions of wearing. TLDR The headphones don't have the best sound quality, but they aren't horrible either. I couldn't get them to work with my PC, sound only comes out of one side (it changes sides sometimes when I unplug the audio cable). They work fine with my phone and tablet for sound, not the mic. The mic also doesn't stay in after plugging it into the audio port. It moves around, and I can hear it disconnect and connect, that click noise, very unstable. There is an issue with my battery, thinking it has more juice than it does. I don't like these at all and want a refund (I've already reached out to Sony about it). So be warned! Apparently, there are lucky people on here who have something that works. Mine, and many others it seems, suck.

Way, way too expensive. 150-199 is where they should be. It's a cheap $10 pair of generic plastic headphones wrapped around recycled drivers, which is all you're paying for. However, it's the best pair of PC headphones I've used for comfort and sound, which is what I really care about in the end. Replacing my Sennheiser HD 6xx and Razer Blackshark V3 Pro combo. Sound quality is excellent but the UI and design of the actual headset and thought put into it is terrible. It has a way better sound than the Razer and is indescribably more comfortable. Not as good at media as my Sennheiser, but way better for gaming audio and directional sounds. The ANC actually works too. It's not the best, even compared to my old WH1000XM3, but it's the best in this category for gaming. Blows the Razer out of the water. It's actually alarming lightweight and I wish it was a tiny bit heavier so they can add some pragmatic, less spartan features. Like extra padding, sound isolation, and better buttons. It just feels like crazy cheap plastic all over and it's not enjoyable to touch or pickup. For some reason they made the outside of the headphones this really disgusting grimy degraded plastic feeling. It is just an absolute fingerprint and scratch magnet, after touching them once or twice they look really gross. The decision making boggles my mind. Battery life is fine, connectivity is fine. I appreciate that the microphone actually has a mute light. I hate that the buttons don't tell you what they do, you press the buttons and it just makes random beeping noises without telling you what button you pressed. That seems like that should be a pretty standard feature to tell you what's going on in your ears without having to take it off every 2 seconds and check the button or open the software and see what settings you actually clicked. The Razer is way better at that. It feels like it was designed by a really lazy inept B team that put absolute minimal effort into the thought process and design because they just copied over the drivers from the 1000 series and figured it would be fine.... Which it is, but for the price I would like it to feel and act a little bit more user friendly.

Overall, pleased with this headset. It is being used primarily for PC gaming. Easy to hook-up via dongle and get running with an app that needs to be downloaded first. Set is very light & easily adjustable if not feeling a little cheap as it is mostly plastic (does keep it light though). Biggest problems I have include the power button placement on the right ear cup being just plain odd and not easy to get at (I do like that tapping it gives you current battery status). The other problem is that the ANC just does not handle filtering out human voices well. It does handle droning, constant noise like refrigerator motor hum or heater fans or outdoor AC units and such. Overall sound quality is good on PC, although I can not attest to PS5 or other consoles/devices. If the ANC was more effective I would be okay with giving 5 stars. No thoughts on the mic as I don't really use it, but the on/off button on the top of the left ear cup is very easily reached and provides an easily discernable tune when turned on and off. The mic can also be easily removed if not needed (kind of wish it would just stay attached and could be retracted or swiveled up, but oh well. Battery life is respectable, but given the light nature of the headphones a bigger battery would be nice, if not totally needed. Overall, this is a nice, good quality headset that just needs a little more quality of life engineering to justify its price tag.

I've owned the original Sony INZONE H9, so I was excited to try the new INZONE H9 II—and Sony absolutely got this one right. The first thing I noticed was the weight. The H9 II is significantly lighter, making it incredibly comfortable for long gaming sessions. The redesigned suspension headband distributes the weight much better, and after several hours of use, I almost forgot I was wearing them. Sony's redesign is a major improvement over the first-generation H9. Sound quality is where these really shine. The new drivers, derived from Sony's WH-1000XM6, deliver outstanding clarity. Voices are crisp, footsteps are easy to pinpoint, and music sounds far more detailed than I expected from a gaming headset. The bass is clean and punchy without overpowering the mids or highs, giving explosions and action scenes plenty of impact while keeping dialogue crystal clear. Compared to the original H9, this feels like a genuine next-generation product. The comfort is better, the microphone is improved, the overall audio is clearer, and the headset simply feels more refined. Sony listened to feedback and addressed many of the shortcomings of the first model. If you already own the original H9 and spend a lot of time gaming, I think the upgrade is worth it. And if you're shopping for a premium wireless gaming headset, the INZONE H9 II deserves to be at the top of your list.
