This soundbar did the trick! TVs these days don’t do sound well. Never enough bass and dialogue can become lost in the mix. Is this an incredible surround sound system? No. But for the money, it will elevate your experience to another level. The voice option is great for those movies where the music and action drowns out the dialogue. Set up was so easy. I mean, basically plug and play. And the fact that the subwoofer is wireless adds to the experience. I was able to place behind my couch and it really gives a great experience! ... show more

    • Pretty Good for Full Price, Great for Amazon Warehouse Price

I looked at a lesser version of this at Costco that wasn't much cheaper and didn't get very good reviews. This item was a little more expensive, but had great reviews. When there was an open box unit available at Amazon Warehouse for less than half of the regular price, I ordered it immediately. Set up was pretty easy, though the open box unit was missing the optical cable that was supposed to be included. Once it was all hooked up and the setting changed within the TV, it worked just fine. It turns on/off when the TV does, and the regular volume controls for the TV remote control it as well. After the initial setup, I haven't needed the included remote control. The sound is certainly an upgrade from the regular TV speakers, and the bass can thump pretty hard when asked to. Does it sound as good as a higher end unit, of course not, but it's fine for daily use in our family room. Two little gripes. The volume is slow to respond...it takes holding the volume button down for a bit to get it have any noticeable change in the volume. Also, there is some weird "feature" that if the volume is pressed too many times in a row quickly, the volume will go up to max or min (depending) all on its own...which can be deafening. I should probably read the manual about this... Anyway, for the warehouse price, I'm thrilled with this purchase. ... show more

I actually downgraded from an older 5.1 Sony system and although the sound bar can’t match a true surround system, it still sounds pretty good for what it is. With the advances and advantages of Bluetooth, long gone are the days of large cluttered component systems. I recommend getting a used or like new system here as the discount over a new unit is really nice. ... show more

I have been using now for a couple of months and very good sound with the TV and movies. It syncs or connect to you TV in a way that takes over the internal speaker and comes on when you turn on your TV so you don’t have to do it separately. So far it has only disconnected once

Our old much cheaper Vizeo sound bar had a much better sound and it was easier to understand dialogue. But this is much easier to connect because our TV is also Sony. That's the only upside unfortunately.
