I bought a pre owned piece. Was very doubtful as I got it for $280. I must say it looks brand new, entire box was as is with the packaging, manual, cables, etc. Value for every dollar spent. Top notch Dolby atmos sound quality. It was just plug and activate easy to install, if you are connecting to a Roku make sure to watch some YT videos for help. I bought this soundbar a few months ago, I was tired of the wired management with my older system (Sony 7.2 Channel Surround System) and thought wireless would be allot cleaner and easy. I also bought the RS5 rear speakers along with this for better sound immersion and coverage. That all being said, it's great I'm really happy with it. Shows, music and movies come in clear and haven't had distortions or connectivity issues. I use my old XBOX ONE as a glorified ROKU or FIRE player and it does the job. The soundbar comes with an HDMI IN and HDMI OUT and it's simple plug and play. If you have multiple things you plan on using then a HDMI switch would be a good investment. The 5000 is a big, long boy and has a little weight to it and I didn't want to use the wall mount/shelf holders that came with. I bought the "GOFLAME 48” Narrow Console Table, Modern Entryway Table with Faux Marble Tabletop & Black Metal Frame, Slim Accent" for it to sit on, and it's a perfect size in my opinion. As far as sound customization, it's very simple and customization is limited but seeing as the system well meets my needs and expectations I can't complain. I purchased this to pair with a new Sony BRAVIA X90L 65" TV, and was nothing but disappointed in the quality from the get-go. I'm not sure if this was damaged in transit, a low quality lemon, or just a product over hyped by a number of reviewed that it "blew them away right out of the box" but whatever the case may be the best I can muster is "MEH". There are plenty of sparkly and fancy features on this device and it does some cool things during setup but in the end the sound quality was worse than both of the other audio devices I compared it against. First up for comparison was an old set of relatively cheap (less than $150 when I bought them years ago) desktop speakers. These sounded as good or better in every type of media than the sound bar. Next up, an Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3 wireless portable speaker I bought for my wife. This $200 portable speaker was superior to the sound bar in every single type of media which, for me, was the ultimate deal killer. If this fancy soundbar can't even compete with a portable speaker what am I ever paying for? Also, as usual, UPS best the living hell out of the box and left it leaning against the front of my house in a puddle rather than under the covered porch. This is why I stipulate that it may have just been damaged in transit. However, the general sound quality was tinny and boring. The bass from the soundbar couldn't even outperform a portable speaker. Very pleased with this Sony product. Movies on Netflix or BlueRay sound excellent. As well the built in Chromecast allows me to stream my favorite Internet radio broadcasts directly to the soundbar. The surround sound is at a minimum, but I have the possibility to add rear speakers and a subwoofer if I choose. Did not have a feature I was use to..in a soundbar Were you could change the letterbox to zoom for full screen picture..I did find a way by a magnifier in the pc.to zoom into full screen on the TV picture

While it’s a bigger sound bar, the sound is great! I paired with the Sony subwoofer at while the sound bar has good bass built in, the added subwoofer really adds the extra punch. The item is rather pricey as is the subwoofer, but it does what it needs to do.
