I love this lens! This is by far one of the sharpest lenses I currently own. It's small, compact, very fast and accurate to focus, and very sharp. I love how it renders the images and I try to use this lens as much as I can. I originally got the 55 1.8 to use with my new A7C and found it to be an excellent match for use with that compact camera, but I find myself using it extensively on my A7RIV as well, with insanely sharp results! The only cons so to speak would be the lack of a focus hold button and lack of stabilization built into the lens, but not a major issue since the camera bodies I use all have IBIS anyhow. It's one of my favorite lenses for low light shooting as well. Paired with my A7C I can shoot and record video indoors, or in other low light environments with very impressive results. Fantastic sharpness with beautiful bokeh. 55mm is basically a nifty fifty to me but with that zeiss punch. I couldn't be happier especially with the fast enough aperture at 1.8 it meets all my needs. Definitely would recommend getting this second hand if possible as price for brand new is a bit steep considering the 50 1.4 GM gives you much more features. ... show more

Bought this fast prime lens to pair with my Sony a7rv as a cheap and light weight prime. Received the lens in pristine condition with the boxing and all accessories! Lens paired well with my cam and I am satisfied with the pics! Very happy with this refurbished lens. Good value/quality for money!

    • Great lens for the money.
Pretty much perfect. Amazing sharpness, contrast, etc. and very lightweight which makes it a great lens to carry around. The only downside is that it flares really badly, but that’s usually easy to avoid. However I wouldn’t suggest using it for backlit subjects because the flare is very noticeable.

I love this lens, I wasn't sure what to expect from a "fixed, renewed" but when I opened the box I discovered a brand new lens. It is very sharp, the colors look amazing. Looking forward to creating art with this. Pairs very well with my Sony A7iii.

I wasn't expecting to open this package and find a mint-condition lens, but that's what I found! Everything arrived in the original packaging, and the contents were packaged as if they were new. No scratches on the lens, caps, or anything. I wouldn't have known it was "refurbished" unless someone told me. Fantastic deal for one of Sony's greatest prime lenses.
