I love this lens! This is by far one of the sharpest lenses I currently own. It's small, compact, very fast and accurate to focus, and very sharp. I love how it renders the images and I try to use this lens as much as I can. I originally got the 55 1.8 to use with my new A7C and found it to be an excellent match for use with that compact camera, but I find myself using it extensively on my A7RIV as well, with insanely sharp results! The only cons so to speak would be the lack of a focus hold button and lack of stabilization built into the lens, but not a major issue since the camera bodies I use all have IBIS anyhow. It's one of my favorite lenses for low light shooting as well. Paired with my A7C I can shoot and record video indoors, or in other low light environments with very impressive results. I would definitely buy this lens again! ... show more

    • Almost new prime lens
Bought this fast prime lens to pair with my Sony a7rv as a cheap and light weight prime. Received the lens in pristine condition with the boxing and all accessories! Lens paired well with my cam and I am satisfied with the pics! Very happy with this refurbished lens. Good value/quality for money!

    • Great lens for the money.
Pretty much perfect. Amazing sharpness, contrast, etc. and very lightweight which makes it a great lens to carry around. The only downside is that it flares really badly, but that’s usually easy to avoid. However I wouldn’t suggest using it for backlit subjects because the flare is very noticeable.

    • Same as new, what a deal!
I wasn't expecting to open this package and find a mint-condition lens, but that's what I found! Everything arrived in the original packaging, and the contents were packaged as if they were new. No scratches on the lens, caps, or anything. I wouldn't have known it was "refurbished" unless someone told me. Fantastic deal for one of Sony's greatest prime lenses. I'll be on the lookout for more deals like this from this seller! ... show more

    • Believe the hype!
Believe the hype. This lens is light, sharp and has incredible optics. The autofocus is reliable if you depend on that. Manual focus is okay, but that's not why you would buy this lens in the first place. Overall, I would recommend this lens for anyone looking for a 50mm range. Also, I bought mine as an Amazon renewed and it works flawlessly. ... show more

Fantastic sharpness with beautiful bokeh. 55mm is basically a nifty fifty to me but with that zeiss punch. I couldn't be happier especially with the fast enough aperture at 1.8 it meets all my needs. Definitely would recommend getting this second hand if possible as price for brand new is a bit steep considering the 50 1.4 GM gives you much more features. ... show more

    • Brand New for Used Price
The lens is brand new and price was for used so I am really glad I went with the used one. Barely used and perfect for learning and experimenting with my photography.
