I love this lens! This is by far one of the sharpest lenses I currently own. It's small, compact, very fast and accurate to focus, and very sharp. I love how it renders the images and I try to use this lens as much as I can. I originally got the 55 1.8 to use with my new A7C and found it to be an excellent match for use with that compact camera, but I find myself using it extensively on my A7RIV as well, with insanely sharp results! The only cons so to speak would be the lack of a focus hold button and lack of stabilization built into the lens, but not a major issue since the camera bodies I use all have IBIS anyhow. It's one of my favorite lenses for low light shooting as well. Paired with my A7C I can shoot and record video indoors, or in other low light environments with very impressive results.     • Great lens for the money.
Pretty much perfect. Amazing sharpness, contrast, etc. and very lightweight which makes it a great lens to carry around. The only downside is that it flares really badly, but that’s usually easy to avoid. However I wouldn’t suggest using it for backlit subjects because the flare is very noticeable.

Great lens. Sharp. Well built. Classic look. Not too big. Good price. I have some great zeiss and sigma art lenses, but this is my go to for walking around.

    • Lightweight, sharp, juicy colors
I love this lens, I wasn't sure what to expect from a "fixed, renewed" but when I opened the box I discovered a brand new lens. It is very sharp, the colors look amazing. Looking forward to creating art with this. Pairs very well with my Sony A7iii.

Bought this fast prime lens to pair with my Sony a7rv as a cheap and light weight prime. Received the lens in pristine condition with the boxing and all accessories! Lens paired well with my cam and I am satisfied with the pics! Very happy with this refurbished lens. Good value/quality for money!

This lens is honestly a dream for filmmakers on a budget. I use it on an FX6 with a Ronin RS2 and autofocus is silent, fast, bokeh is beautiful, sharpness in 4K video is perfect... The only thing I wouldn't recommend is using it handheld without a gimbal or IBIS since it doesn't have OSS. Other than that, it's perfect for the price. ... show more
