The packaging was great I liked the fact that this was machine washable I took it out of the package immediately threw it into the washer with some draft I threw it into the dryer on light cycle it dried pretty thoroughly without shrinking I put it on my bed and I could definitely tell the difference it adds a layer of comfort and an additional layer of warmth but it does not add to an uncomfortable sleep experience as my temperature stays pretty even throughout the night. I will definitely be buying more for the guest bedrooms as well as for gifts the price and the quality were excellent, I would highly recommend! ... show more

The desription of this mattress pad used the word "topper," so I thought it would be like adding a foam pad to our mattress. Really it's just a mattress pad. The "down alternative fill" flattens down so that there's no fluffiness at all. There's simply not much substance to it. Also, it was described as fitting a 21"deep mattress. That is a mistake. (Do they even make 21" deep mattresses?) Our full mattress is 10" deep. The mattress pad barely stretched around it. We had to tug a lot to get it on.
