Novel idea if your intended pet isn't a gnawer which pretty much excludes many rodent types. Once they smell the air between the gaps and realize that's their escape, they will start gnawing at the seams which is not good since the plastic walls are easily bit through. While I love the idea they can be configured and packed away, I'd recommend still lining them with something or blocking the gaps. I actually went back to a plain old heavy duty cardboard box lined with newspaper and bedding as his play arena. another thing is since they hang around spaces where they feel the freedom, they can pee or poo around there which will obviously go thru the gaps. Overall, this just didn't work out the way I hoped and isn't for me. For reference, this was being used with a guinea pig or a very smart syrian hamster. Updated 8/10: Customer Service promptly reached out to me to help resolve the issue. No hassles, so I added stars for their service. If you do get this, you'll need to use something thicker to line this up a quarter or so ways up the walls if you have crafty critters. Otherwise, the company does stand behind their product.

Since our hamster's cage is on the smaller side and can't fit a 12 inch wheel, we are creating a play area for him. It's quite big and was pretty easy to put together. Seems durable, but our hamster has started chewing on the bottom where the plastic edge is. This isn't the manufacturer's fault so I'll still give it 5 stars. I've ordered a few mats to go onto the bottom, instead of the blanket that's in there right now, and hopefully that will help stop the chewing. He hasn't escaped from this enclosure so far, and I can tell you there's been many times he's gotten out of his regular cage, so that's great! We can interact with him easier while he's in the play pen and he seems to really love the space.

It can be frustrating to build at first, but it definitely does the job. If you don’t want the side ways to be so tall you’re able to build it on its side, I definitely enjoy being able to alter it and build it in many different ways that work for the consumer. My hedgie roams in it just fine. It’s also very light weight, If you have heavier animals, the kit comes with zip ties to make it more sturdy.

We brought two of these products to create a safe place for our bunny (@alexbunmac on Instagram). The fence is clear, full of quality material and a good size to change the shape, location and space for him anytime. As soon as he is fully potty trained we are hoping to allow him to be free range. For now this fence and our baby gate has been a useful tool. We would highly recommend.

Just got it today and left my boys unattended for 30 minutes in the pin, this was probably dumb on my part, probably won’t happen again I’m a new rat mom. But before I got the playpen, I had to put cardboard up all around my room, so this was a better option to buy. But when I was gone, one of my boys jumped out. I’m so glad that when I came back in the room he was only trying to get back in his cage, he could’ve explored and it would’ve been a hassle to find him. So yes I am going to keep it and yes it’s a good product but I wish I could find an even better option because it does have some other flaws. Don’t care enough to tell you about those sorry not sorry.

Easy to set up and you can arrange it to fit dimensions of your space. Our bunnies have a 7x4.5 ft enclosure they can run and play in. I wish you could buy individual panel packs as an add on.

Used these to bond my two rabbits. They don’t need it anymore, but they helped to make a lot more room in my closet by acting as storage cubes. One thing I’d appreciate is a place to put the zip-ties in. I could not find any obvious place to zip-tie the panels together, and had to put in my own which I felt was bothersome. There’s a small corner flap, however that gets completely covered by the connector pieces and leaves no room for zip ties. Otherwise, incredibly sturdy (w/ zip ties) against animals. The solid state and transparency meant I could house the rabbit side-by-side without a gap as they couldn’t bite each other through the paneling. Just add some small holes for the zip-ties and I would’ve considered it a 5/5, but for now 4.5/5.

It was pretty easy to use and assemble but the bottom of the cage and the parts are flimsy. I had to put cardboard on the bottom of it but it’s pretty cool i have some left over.
