These lights were very easy to set up straight out of the box. Twist the top off, switch to on, twist top back on. Separate the stake pieces and put it all together. Took us a matter of minutes. They're plastic, so I was concerned about breaking a stake when putting them into the ground, because we haven't had much rain. I treated the ones I put down with care, my son didn't treat his with care, and luckily, all stakes stayed intact. The lights are fairly small but attractive. They don't cast a ton of light, so if strong illumination is what you're after, these may not work for you. I wanted some lights to define the outline of the curved sidewalk leading to my front porch, and these serve that purpose. So far, every light continues to charge well. They don't turn on until it's nearly dark out, but that's fine. I don't know exactly how long they stay on during the night, but as an insomniac, I can attest to the fact that it's a good, long time! Even when I'm tossing and turning at 4 am, I can see out my window that these lights are still going. Getting six reliable solar lights at this price point is, in my opinion, an excellent value, and I'm very happy with them.

These are plastic which is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5. They're all independent from each other, so you can place anywhere you want. Simply attach the base post, pull the bottom plug and re-insert inverted (pointing side down of course) and drive into the ground. As stated, they're completely plastic so you have to be careful pushing them into the ground to not break anything, but normal to soft dirt is fine. If you haven't seen rain in many days and the ground is hard you'll most likely have problems and might break the unit pushing it in. To set them up, you twist the top half off counter-clockwise to remove. There's a small toggle switch to turn them "on" and then twist back on the base, super easy. Solar panel on top, and a light sensor so they'll automatically turn on when it gets dark. It does need to be fairly dark before they'll activate, like well past sunset. I have timed them for how long they'll run, or whether they run out of power before sunrise, but they all turn on as expected and have run for at least 3 hours before I turn in for the night. Worth the price for this 8 pack as metal units will cost significantly more.

Life is getting so complicated these days that it's nice when you get a product that installs so quickly and easily. We got the 12-pack and it literally takes 1 minute to install each light. After 15 minutes, all 12 were installed and we were done! We really like that design of these lights with the filament style LED that casts a nice warm glow instead of the harsh white light like so many give off. It creates a very nice ambiance to the backyard without generating too much light that would affect peoples sleep if their windows face in the direction of the lights. We really like these lights and would recommend them to others.

I ordered the SOLPEX solar pathway lights to add some more light leading up to our front door. They come in a pack of 4 or 6. Assembly was very quick and easy. The first day I received them, I set the lights outside all afternoon. That night they stayed lit nearly 8 hours. Since then, they have consistently stayed lit from dusk to dawn. The square design is very attractive, and appears to be a much better quality than you usually find in big box stores. The square design also provides larger "windows" which allow for brighter lighting. I'm very happy with these solar pathway lights and intend to buy more. They are a good value for the price.

This is a nice 6 pack of solar lights that are perfect for lighting up the path to our back yard gazebo. They are not big, so if you are looking for solar lights that will light up a large area, these are not what you are looking for. They are made of a plastic material and will not rust. The spike is also plastic, so you must be careful putting them into harder ground soil. After charging during the day, they will go on automatically and stay on well into the night, I am guessing 8 to 10 hours. No electricity needed and they work every night without any issues. The generous 180-day warranty is appreciated.

These are very nice lights... they are tiny, though. It's hard to tell from the pictures, so it is good to check out the measurements and use a ruler to see what you are buying. They were very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. They needed only to be unwrapped, the clear covers removed from the solar panel, the tops twisted off and the switch turned on. They were working immediately. The spike for the stake is inside of the stake itself, when it arrives. So pull the end out of the stake and you'll see the spike. It's actually a clever way of packaging the product, keeping costs down. The stake is plastic, not metal, so know that when you are thinking of where you are placing it, and what kind of lawn care will be going on in the area. Very nice product.

I absolutely love my new SOLPEX Solar Lights Outdoor Pathway 12 Pack! They were so easy to install - I literally just stuck them in the ground wherever I wanted some extra light. They come in a pack of 12, so I lined my walkway and garden path, and I still have a few leftovers to use around my patio. They provide a beautiful warm white light that creates a wonderful ambiance in the evenings.
