Bought this to replace non-functioning awning motor on my 2016 Crossroads Cruiser 5th wheel. The original part number of the one I removed was 373566. With the exception of having to add the polarized connector it was physically a complete match. Both were 12VDC, 75 RPM. The original had a P/N 591-70B on the side as well as the Lippert 373566 number. The 266148 has a P/N 591-70 without the B. Also a newer production date. Not sure the difference other than it was more than 1/2 the cost than the direct replacement from the RV dealer. I greased the exposed gears, bolted it on, plugged it in and Bob's your uncle, awning is working again. Hoping to get the original replaced on warranty, but seeing that it died in less than a year, it can't hurt to have an extra on hand. Awnings are useless without the motor. Disclaimer: I am a consumer, this is my experience and opinion. Using a different part number could void any warranties, so proceed at your own risk. ... show more

    • Works great. Much cheaper than the alternatives.
The RV dealer wanted hundreds of dollars more for the exact replacement. As far as I could tell, the only difference between the original motor and this one was the connection at the end. I took a chance and ordered this one. I cut off the old end and soldered and taped the end onto the wires from this motor. It took all of 5 minutes. It is now in its second season and is working just fine! ... show more

The second motor that we received arrived in serviceable condition and was packaged well, unlike the first one that we had to return. The motor went on without issue. Two people for the removal and installation made it pretty simple and straight forward. The connectors were plug and play. Purchased the power awning motor to replace the original which failed after 9 seasons. The replacement motor was identical to the original and installed without any issues. The replacement motor is quieter and smoother than the original. Time will tell on durability.

I traced the problem with my awning going out but not retracting to the motor. I removed the plastic cover to expose the motor. I ordered the motor and then replaced it as per instructions from Lippert Customer Service. works like a charm.
