Features

  • HEAT YOUR POOL - Solar Sun Rings are passive solar swimming pool heating devices, constructed from two layers of U.V. resistant vinyl. The upper clear layer directs the suns rays onto the bottom blue layer which absorbs about 50% of the sunlight, converting it to heat. The remaining sunlight filters through the ring into your pool water.
  • WARMING DISCS - The majority of heat loss from a pool comes from the water surface at night. Solar Sun Rings do not cover the entire surface of your pool; therefore it allows heat to escape. To help keep the warm water in your pool at night we recommend you use additional insulation such as solar fish or a solar blanket.
  • WHAT'S INCLUDED - Each unit contains 6 magnets that are used to attach the rings together. Do not over inflate. Do not use as a flotation device.
  • SOLAR ACTIVATED - Use the Solar Sun Rings to provide heat to your swimming pool from the sun. Swim comfortably without wasting energy
  • PLEASE NOTE - These Solar Sun Rings are NOT a solar cover or a replacement for a solar cover. These are floating disc heating devices.

Easy to set up (but DO NOT place these on your lawn to relax the wrinkles after unpacking...!!), and they seem to be doing their job. A bit of a chore to individually remove and empty the water out of the anchor/sides (have 15 of them in my above ground pool). I rigged up a hanging 1/2" pipe from the basement ceiling joist, and with the ring hanger, they slide right onto the pipe for easy storage when not on the pool. ... show more

  • Pricey for the quality
I ordered a dozen sun rings for my pool. Three do not hold the air and have to be constantly refilled. They are more convenient than a pool cover, but don’t expect them to heat the pool. Overall, I think they are very pricey $33-$37 per ring depending on how many you purchase at a time. For this price they should be perfect, but are not. I would look elsewhere next time for something to cover the pool. ... show more

  • Prevents algae growth.
Once it’s installed, it is easy to maneuver, since each of them are small and they stick together . It was a lot of work to inflate all 15 of them (we needed 15 for our pool). It looks better than putting the whole sheet over the pool, and the space created inbetween each sheet prevents the growth of algae. ... show more

  • Doesn't work
Really does not heat up the water in our in ground pool as stated in description. An expensive lesson to learn.

  • Great alternative for full pool cover and better looking!
We live in South Florida and have a smaller screened-in pool that faces east; so these are perfect for warming the pool a few more degrees and we were able to get in the pool sooner this season. We’ve had them in for at least a month; we have 9 and will probably purchase one more. Initially, one came with a hole, but we were sent a replacement which fixed my only issue with this product. They are easy to remove from the pool and with a couple side shakes, the water comes out from the water weight area. They look really nice in the pool and better than a cover. Plus, I find them to be less scarier than a full-cover with a small child who likes to run around the pool. ... show more

  • They don’t work and they’ll charge you to return them if you find that they don’t work for you.
The rings are pretty simple to unpack and inflate properly. Unfortunately they don’t work very well. We are approved to return them but the return approval states there will be a 20% restocking fee, 50% if not in new condition, for non defective items. They call it buyers remorse. I suppose that’s accurate in that we are remorseful for purchasing a product to increase the temperature of our pool water and reduce evaporation when in fact the product doesn’t actually do either of those things. If the description says returnable read the ultra fine print because chances are you’ll want to return them after you too find that they don’t work, are a hassle to remove for swimming and are a pain to store while swimming. Not worth my hard earned money, that’s for sure ... show more

  • Anchors work
These are the rings to use. Make sure you only buy this type. The anchors while simple really work. I have had my first one (4years) and it’s never blown out of the pool. Look for the PalmTree. This company carries them and they got me covered. I have fifteen rings now and we are able to swim in April. I store them by the beginning of June and throw them back in Sept and swim until Halloween. I pull and store until March... and so it goes. No gas bill. ... show more
