I put up 4x4 pressure treated wood posts which worked but the stock bolts were too short so I bought some new longer ones and I was rollin'. Used in arena. They are constantly changing brightness, rather than staying one even if it’s pitch dark outside so it’s like a light show going on and can spook the horse’s… but also a good way to desensitize to another thing. Also hard to get the remote to respond to the lights. It has to point just right which can be hard when they are raised higher up. The pole did snap so we had to weld our own to make sure it was sturdy and they don’t move so you can adjust the angle very much. They have been used almost daily since we bought them about 2 months ago and we have bought about 3 different lights from them. Customer service is a little difficult too. These lights are great: Easy to install, and work extremely well. We particularly like the motion detection setting - which saves battery life. Once installed, they take about 8 hours of sunlight to fully charge. The lights last around 8-10 hours when fully charged.
