    • Great Light Except For Motion Sensor Mode

This is a high quality light that's bright, especially for a solar light, and well made. I've seen and tried cheaper solar lights and they're hit or miss, and I wanted a more durable light for mounting high up on my garage since changing it out if it died will be a lot of work. This light certainly seems durable. I don't see any gaps or anywhere water intrusion is possible, and the finish is nice and looks like it will last. My main issue with the light is the motion sensor mode. First, it stays on always even in motion mode, albeit at a reduced brightness (20% supposedly). I would have preferred a fourth mode with motion sensing and no light on at all, though I get why some may appreciate the 20% mode. And to be fair, I should have seen that when I ordered it since it's clearly stated, so I can't fault the product too much. But to me the 20% seems just a bit too bright, and since I live in a Dark Sky city, I would much prefer not to have it on at all. But also, the motion sensor isn't that sensitive, at least not when it's mounted over 15 feet in the air. So you really need to be close and moving around a lot to set it off. I've had coyote walk right by it and get picked up by the motion sensor on my security camera mounted right next to the light, and the light never went off. Since deterring coyote from coming near my house is the main reason I wanted the light, it's a bit of a letdown. But still, it is a nice, well made light. And it may work just fine for others who don't have it mounted high, and who like the 20% mode or who use one of the other modes. So I feel like it's a good light, that just didn't work for me. ... show more

This light is really bright. Lights up my front yard. The only issue is on cloudy days it doesn't fully charge so it doesn't last as long. You can adjust the brightness to compensate. Better than others ive bought.
