I ordered with cautious optimism, however it surprisingly works well. I’ve had this fan installed for almost 5 months and it’s still going just as good as the day I bought it. The fan quality and housing is fairly cheap, but it gets the job done. The hardware for the solar panel mount is rather flimsy, but has not had to be adjusted and is still holding strong after months on the roof of my run. The battery is a nice touch, as it will run for a few hours after the sun goes down. It doesn’t move much air, but it definitely makes a noticeable difference inside the coop. Would buy again!

We put this in our chicken coop. The fan will work through the night with a semi sunny day. The installation required some power tools but not hard for someone semi handy. The unit is plastic making it easy to clean if necessary. The on/off switch is a plus if you don't want the fan to run. It keeps the air circulating with no noise to speak of. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Installation was easy have a 10 x 12 shed. This fan is not adequate to reduce the heat in the shed by itself. Haven’t figured out yet if the battery charges while it is running during the day or what because by the time I get up in the morning, it is not operating. I have the panel in full sun more or less all day long so battery life of the battery is not very long need to get another fan, but really hesitant on getting another one of these thinking about another brand. update I have had the fan a little over two months. It is stopped working have contacted the company in two different ways and have they contacted me and wanted to know if my order number and it’s been two days and I have not heard anything else again I am changing my review from three stars to one. I was told when I was going to buy this fan that they had a year warranty and so far they haven’t even owned up to that yet look elsewhere update have contacted the company numerous times they are not responding contacted Amazon. They reached out and I still have not heard anything yet. Do not buy from this company. if I could give zero stars it would happen.

Solar fan works but the battery does not last as long as i had hoped. I put it in my new yard shed to dissipate some heat in the summer months. It does the job and has a on/off switch to so it can be turned off in the winter months i like this option to. It also has a flapper on it to keep the rain and bugs outside where they belong. ps. easy setup to.

This works great too keep our chicken coop comfortable for the hens. It’s very quiet so it doesn’t disturb them at all. I leave it on 24 hours a day, by the morning it’s working a little slow but as soon as that sun hits it, it picks right up. Great airflow, a nice size so that it’s not too bulky. I would definitely purchase again.

I was excited to get this item so quick. I live in N. Texas and the summers are brutal on my chickens. I was really excited that this item came with a battery and could operate my fan at night as well as the day time. The only problem is the battery does not hold enough charge for the entire night. Then in the morning time the fan will not run until the battery charges. I would love to give this item more stars. But it needs a bigger battery storage and another solar panel to help charge. With this change this item would be a solid 5 stars. Overall its not bad. I just need to figure out some adjustments.

Does not come with mounting instructions, but was pretty straightforward. The square grill goes on the inside of my shed and the tube goes to the outside. The tube has a small flap to prevent rain from coming in. A plastic sleeve covers the tube on the outside, and 4 screws mount the fan to the wall on the inside (the fan grill snaps off to reveal the screw holes). A simple on-off switch lets you turn it off but the idea is that you run it all the time, moving the hot hair out from the top of your shed. The battery is critical, IMO, because it lets the fan run in the evening when it's important to cool the shed down. It runs pretty quietly, but you definitely hear it still. I wasn't sure how to mount the solar panel - it came with a bracket but it did not seem very useful. I used tar/glue to just glue it onto the shingles on my roof.
