The only drawback we saw to this purchase came in the form of its cost since we were really only playing around with the idea of using solar power as a means of charging a project we created. Hard to justify paying so much for pieces of plastic and screws for a passing interest BUT in the product's defense it DOES exactly what it claims to do: Securely hold a solar panel and keep it off of the ground (for cooling purposes as air/wind passes below the solar panel). If we ever decide 'go solar' in a more serious nature and need a product of this nature we will purchase, again.

Works well on the right type of panels. Must be aluminum edge all the way around the panel. Maybe I overlooked that in the description. I was going to use my HF panels but they are plastic and wouldn't work. So I bought a single 200 watt panel. These worked great. I glued them to the top of my RV and took an 1800 mile trip and they are doing fine.

What I like about the most is they will split in half and you can take the panel up and replace or clean without significant modifications. Very easy to install just follow. The directions are used sikaflex adhesive so I did not have to penetrate my roof.

Updated! Bought this mount set for my 100w solar panel on my truck bed camper. It seems to works great on flat surface. Adhesive caulk to build up the cruvey non even surfaces for my situation works fine. The top holding screws are a bit long for my panel but get some shorter M4 threads screws will do. If you decided to use adhesive like silicone to mount them down, I will suggest to use lacquer thinner to wipe down the bottom of the mount to prep it before applying adhesive. Overall 4stars out of 5 to my situation. Customer service is great and willing to assist with problems to back their products. Up to 5stars.

These mounts hold all my panels. Unfortunately they now only come in black. Three of my panels have white mounts so a bit disappointing that white is no longer available. The mounts are solid wih a wide range of adjustment for various thickness panels. Mounted properly to the roof, they keep the panel about an inch above the roof allowing cool air to flow and keep the temperature of the panel in check. Six mounts for a 100 watt panel is probably overkill but then again, my panels haven’t departed the roof after many many miles. Worth the expense and the effort to mount them to keep your panels where they are suposed to be. Good buy, good price. One star less for not making them available in white.
