I will try and upload some photos, when I get a free moment. In the meantime, I wanted to make sure I didn't miss reviewing these. I have LOTS of solar lights, of all shapes and sizes. These are, without any doubt, the best ones I have ever had. The price is well worth the value. They are made of metal and glass - I can't see any plastic. They have large but discreet solar panels - you don't really see that they are there unless you are right on top of them. The light they cast is the brightest I have seen in a solar light, and pretty comparable to low-voltage, wired lights. And we are yet to have a night where they didn't turn off by themselves at dawn - not from a lack of charge, but from them sensing the light of dawn. Also, they have an accessible battery that can be replaced once they eventually give up the ghost. That keeps them from simply being disposable - you can replace the battery, and keep using the beautiful lights. I don't have experience with how long that will be. But from everything else I see with these lights, I expect it to be impressive. Even the packaging screams quality - something you would pull off a shelf to buy, rather than something that is thrown into a box and shipped. We are a Military family, and as such we get “the fun” of moving every 2 or 3 years. By this time most of the solar lights along our drive are toast. This means that we usually get a new set for the new home each time that we move. We saw this great value boxed-set of 6 Solar lights, that looked to be of a decent quality and so, we ordered them. We liked the larger solar cells that generate more power to the battery for longer nighttime lighting, that should last somewhere between 6-8 hours. We also liked the fact that they used real glass lenses in their lamps and not plastic, that easily corrodes and fades in the sun. And, we loved the fact that they used Stainless steel posts for their main support posts. We have used the plastic ones many times. Being above ground, those plastic tubular post will often get brittle and are easily broken! These solar lights are IP65 waterproof and should hold up well in the sometimes harsh, 4-season climate of the mid-west. My wife and I much prefer the softer, warm white glow of these well designed, elegant lanterns over those harsh bright white lights of some cheaper solar lights. These then become more of an annoyance to us, when looking up to the night sky, and sometimes interfering with our ability to see the beauty of the heavens above us. Overall, a little pricey for some buyers perhaps? But, these 6 elegant, well-made, quality lights should look beautiful alongside any driveway or footpath. Or perhaps, even placed as subtle landscaping lighting for your back-yard, they could make your landscaping look really amazing too. ... show more

When I opened the box and saw how well these lights were packaged, I knew they would be an excellent addition to my home. The lights are individually set in protective foam, and the batteries are protected with a removable plastic tab. To access the tab you must remove the globe from the light housing, and then once the tab is removed, the light will come on for a moment before shutting off - assuming you are doing this in a well lit room. Also each solar panel is protected with a plastic wrap which also must be removed. Once I had the globe removed it was interesting to see how the manufacturer had placed a reflective surface in the top of the globe, to reflect the light down onto the ground - very nicely done. The attachment spikes were easily assembled, and I was surprised that the tubes were metal. They are coated and so should hold up to sprinkler water, but I advise being careful when attaching. If there is even the tiniest dent in the end of the tube, it will be difficult to attach the spike as the tolerances are very tight - which is a good thing. Also, when attaching the tubes to the globes, do so gently so as not to twist the globe attachment. These lights look beautiful when activated. They shine down on the walkway, and really enhance the look of the yard. They are well made, designed to last, and I recommend them. ... show more

These are pretty nice lights and easy to assemble. The glass is nice and thick and looks kinda like antique glass. The one thing I didn't like is that the "cage" that houses the light is gray and plastic, every other part on the lamp is black so not sure why they made that part gray, it looks cheap. I took the glass out of all of mine and painted them with a good quality plastic paint. I think that the "cage" should have been made out of metal too, not sure how it will hold up in the Arizona sun. I don't understand why some of these manufactures make parts out of plastic when they should be metal, to make a plastic part you have to have a very expensive mold made first, it would be cheaper for them to just make the part out of metal with todays technologies, lol. Anyways the lights look great. (now that the gray is painted black) The stakes for these are pretty durable and once I made a pilot hole in the ground with an old screwdriver I used a dead blow hammer to pound them in with no issues. I dinged these 1 star because of the plastic cage. Thanks for reading. ... show more
