I have just purchased another one of these cameras as I already have 3 and I absolutely love them. I live pretty much in the woods and at night you can’t see your hand in front of you it’s so dark . I wasn’t sure how the solar would work only have a few places with direct sun and they have worked like a charm. The areas I have 2 of them don’t get all day direct sun light they get only a few hours a day then the rest is filtered light through the tall pine trees and they still work all night and I love the option of them staying on dim all night but light up brighter when something crosses the eye . It allows for some light and security but when pulling in the driveway that extra brightness really illuminates a large area. I have them both in the front and back of my house as well as the front of my chickens breeding pen. The ones in the back give just enough dim light to have all my coops get some kind of light for like a possible deterrent of predators. It’s not the solution but possible deterrent. I would definitely buy these and the other good thing is you can tilt them and the two sides move out to allow a bigger illumination area or more focused on forward lighting. The last one I got the one with the remote thinking I probably would not use the remote but fooled myself because I do use the remote and from a pretty good distance. These are super easy to hang if you have a drill it’s even easier. You find the ideal place and remember higher up gives a bigger illumination area then with the provided screws attach the bracket to the tree or house or your place to put it and then the light is designed with a piece on it that slides down into the bracket and will never fall off if you installed it correctly., the battery last a long time and the value for the money can’t be beat, it’s well made as when you hold it the light feels secure and is not a lightweight cheap plastic it’s very sturdy and I love mine. I bet I have 4 neighbors and friends that have purchased this after seeing mine and no complaints at all. The customer service is outstanding and I highly recommend this light. The size is perfect it’s not a small design to fool you when you receive it like some companies do it’s a well put together nice size working light. ... show more

    • Great Solar Lights!
I absolutely recommend these lights. Prior to receiving my item, I received an email with directions from the seller. That was so helpful! The directions that are included in the box are pretty easy to understand. Assembly was simple, they have a mounting bracket which is separate from the light itself. The solar light slides into it and there is a small lock and release lever on the bracket. It's helpful because if I need to charge the light itself, I can simply remove it and place it under direct sunlight. They also the solar panel also tilts. It made installation easy. I purchased the solar lights with the remote control. I purchased two, one for my backyard and one for the side of my house where our garbage and recycle bins are. It get's pretty dark in that corner and I tried a different light, that had 0 range, the motion detection was weak and the light was not bright at all. These lights are bright, and reach to the end of my driveway, I would definitely agree with the stated 40ft range or more. The motion detection is not to touchy, that a leaf blowing will set it off but just enough to detect animals or a person. They charged quickly, and you have to turn the light on, using the switch on the light itself, before you can use the remote control. I just moved it to the first mode, it's not a click or push button, although it looks like one, it's a slide button. I had to figure that out myself, that was the only thing unclear in the directions. It tells you to push the button and if you don't have patience you might return the item thinking the light is defective, when it's not. I got two remotes, because one came with each light, but all you need to control 2+ lights is the same remote. I have it set to Mode 3, where it stays dim on when night fall hits and all night, it goes to bright light when it detects motion and stays bright for 30-45 seconds, then goes back to dim (night light). It turns completely off at sunrise. I love that option. I would purchase more from them in the future if I needed them. I just ordered them, so for longevity I am not sure, but so far pretty durable and wind resistant. Get the remote controlled option. My other lights I either have to remove them completely to change the mode, which is a headache. ... show more

Easy to install and position the lights where needed. I have three in my backyard. Solar power allowed me to position them away from power sources. Sensors light up for the dogs when they are out after dark.

I've held off to review these for a while now. One has worked perfectly for almost a full year (with some adjustments), other got water damage and stopped working after about two months. Rain, snow, hail, wind, winter overcast months; the one with adjustments has not let me down. The adjustment is cutting to size Gorilla all weather tape and sealing every square inch of where the frames meet each other on both the solar panel and all of the lights. For an added measure I also heated the tape to ensure the activation of the adhesive. I used a heat gun but you could also do it with a hair dryer and being careful to not burn yourself. Without that, these are absolute garbage. Make that extra $7 investment and a little of your time, and these are unbeatable for price to quality. Super bright, reliable and sensitive sensor, and a quality solar panel. The one with tape has not been touched for nearly a year now and has never needed maintenance. ... show more
