  • DON'T ABUSE IT
Color: LONQ-40-2MC4
The switch works as advertised. I caution you not to abuse it, because it is made of plastic, and feels like it will break if you use forcefully turn the dial too many times. I am not saying that this is fragile, but it's not as durable as if it were made of some type of metal. I have seen photos of broken dials, and I think the user may have just turned the dial with too much force. BTW, I am using this switch on a power station that I use nearly daily, and cut it on/off every day, using this switch. The switch has held up well, and does it's job. Just be mindful of its specs and parameters, so as you do not exceed the 30A or 1200V capacity. I can't comment on its weather protection rating, because my switch is not exposed to external weather. ... show more

  • Quality product, well packaged
Color: 1String DC1200V 32A
This is a solidly made, well packaged and with accessories. Wasn't expecting all of the extras packaged with it which was a nice surprise. Everything you'll need to get it installed quickly and securely. Worth the money for sure.

  • Works Well
Color: 1String DC1200V 32A
This worked very well for my mobile solar installation. I'd buy it again. I do believe it's watertight. Which can be extremely important when regularly working at around 78 volts raw output from series-wired panels.

  • sturdy switch and housing
Color: LONQ-40-M20
I installed this on my boat as a means of disconnecting the solar array from the solar charge controller. it's generally recommended to cover the solar panels prior to disconnection or do it at night, but this is not always feasible out on the water. This switch provides a way to disconnect solar panels very quickly should it be necessary. For example, I've had charge controller (not the ones shown) malfunction and send current TO the solar panels rather than collecting current from them. The switch also allows dual pole disconnect meaning both positive and negative leads are disconnected simultaneously which reduces the chances of a voltage spike. Note: The photo does not show ground wires connected too the chassis ground posts on the charge controllers. This will be completed prior to utilizing the system. Overall, this appears to be a well made switch that feels solid when the knob is rotated from one position to the other. Look at dimensions carefully before ordering as it's fairly large. ... show more

  • Need a Little Help From End User
Color: LONQ-40-2MC4
These were exactly what I needed but the assembly left a little to be desired. I had to disassemble a couple of the units I purchased to tighten the connectors to the housing so they would actually be watertight. Now that everything is installed and wired they perform as expected.

  • Big switch
Color: 1String DC1200V 32A
This component is oversized for what it needs to do. Check the dimensions, it’s big. Not exactly convenient to mount as the case is poorly designed for a simple screw or bolt on connection. But I really love it. It’s a big loud on / off switch that leaves no doubt where it is set. Easy solar mc4 connections, and came with extra connectors = bonus. ... show more

  • Quality switch and housing no UL rating
Color: 1String DC1200V 32A
The unit seems like good quality. The plastic case seems very sturdy and switch seems well made and properly terminated with 2 series poles used on each leg = 4 poles total for the disconnect - this should withstand at least 1000V. The lockout will not allow a typical lock but only a mini lock or zip tie. ... show more

  • You will loose one of the four cover screws
Color: LONQ-40-M20
I have gotten to where I install quite a few of these. The mechanism inside appears to be pretty decent. There is a lock that won't let the switch be in the on position with the cover off but that is easy as 4 screws to remove. It comes with a hodgepodge of unnecessary components that fit really neatly in an old cashew container....or 2. Out of about a dozen so far, I have only ever had one with a bad terminal that wouldn't work but I am only using 2 of the four so that was no deal breaker. All in all... it will work until something better comes along. I am using it on a dc circuit between 30 and 300 volts DC. ... show more
