I accidently left it on for about 2 hours when i turned the truck off and it was still on when i came back out. The solar cells were not in light so i was all battery power, so it does have a pretty long runtime. Highly recommend for the application i stated.

Works well to give a backup camera capability to an older car. The bracket and unit blocks a little more of the license plate than I would like, but still appears to be legal. Good picture quality. A little slow to connect to the phone.

I liked this concept and how its wireless. I had problems trying to put it on. I went off the instructions. It showed me 2 different ways and i did them both, however with my application it was giving me problems because either it was blocking the numbers on the license plate or the mounting screws... Either one was an issue for my application and one would way would block my license plate light and the other way would block the numbers. So I did what I could to install it and use it. Connectivity kinds sucks. U need WiFi 1st to set it up. Then you need to download the app to connect it and use it via Bluetooth. However the problem is, if you don't sign up and log in with either your Google account or Apple account, Bluetooth isn't available for you to use on the app. If you use the Guest option in the app you don't get to use Bluetooth. Thus making it only work through WiFi. That's pointless. It takes a while to connect and use and it wants to shut down after 90 seconds or 60 seconds if your not hitting buttons on the app. The camera is fuzzy and blurry. I updated to new firmware and it did help a little bit, but still blurry and glitchy and sometimes it doesn't respond and causes you to go through the whole set up again. It takes to long to use, by then you can back up and drive away before u can trying using this to help you back up. It took me 2hrs to install cause the bracket didn't sit right on my application, I had to improvise.... This may not work for every application and may require some slight modifications... ( 06 Toyota RAV4)

If you are looking to get a camera in the rear of your car.This is a good alternative to have. It works well and it's easy to install. It gives you the options To screw into your car or to use the 3M adhesive. The quality is pretty clear and I've only had it for a couple of weeks but it really does help.

I'm always.skeptical of an app that has no need for location to demand it. This camera and associated app works on wifi. Your phone connects to the camera through it's wifi by locating the wifi name off your phone. It's like connecting to your router, but instead you connect to the camera like a router. You will need to disconnect your vpn or the camera and your phone will not talk to each other. I had to do that myself before I got the "connected" message and started seeing an image. And yes, it's true 1080p. I must say, the image is stellar. This camera is actually very clear- at least the one I received is. Mounting it is another story. It may take a bit for me to attach it so the solar bar isn't obstructed. I'm really impressed that once the app started working it was so easy to use. There is even a countdown timer that if left alone, the camera automatically shuts down 30 sec after the countdown completes to conserve on charge life. If you need a backup camera that doesn't need to be wired for video or power, this is a great option imho. This will even work behind a boat or trailer. Definately recommended.

I can't believe how easy this was to set up and use. I've been looking for a backup camera for my truck for a long time but I just didn't want to wire one in and then I found this and boy am I. Decent quality, good upgrade, sufficient picture: This solar powered backup camera is pretty well made and doesn't appear cheaply assembly upon inspection. The product is ideal for retrofitting older vehicles without backup cameras if you want to avoid a more involved hardwired setup (which usually requires running a wire from the front of the vehicle to the installed backup cam). The solar powered unit has a pretty good battery life, but I'd recommend purchasing only if your driveway has good access to sunlight, otherwise you'd be relying on the solar power captured out while driving, which may not be sufficient. The picture this product provides isn't as good as expected but it is sufficient to identify people, animals or other objects that might be in your vehicle's path, and is definitely an improvement over not being able to see the area in front of your rear bumper while backing out. Overall, this is a good product and I would recommend.
