    • Maybe a little bit too light
I bought a similar 5 step ladder to work in a house with 9 ft ceilings on the first floor, and it has been great. So I thought I might be able to change light bulbs at 10 ft upstairs with this one. I was wrong… I don’t know what it was, but climbing up the five step one I bought that was very similar but came from another brand was a no-brainer, easy and comfortable. This ladder looked exactly the same plus one step, but it turns out it’s not. It’s so lightweight that I felt really strange by step 4, uneasy by step 5, and frankly nauseous at step 6. It’s narrow and doesn’t feel all that steady when you’re at the top; I had zero courage to reach up to see if I could change one of the recessed bulbs with this thing. It’s unfortunate, because it’s beautiful and lightweight, but I feel like you’d have to be a small ten year old to climb it without feeling like it wasn’t stable enough. I probably need to just get a proper aluminum stepladder of the hardware store type; I don’t feel scared that those are going to tip over when I have to climb up. Try at your own risk; at least it’s lightweight to put back in the box and return it. ... show more
