The unit provides two types of application. The first is the pronged approach which has two points of entry into the cleat. The other provides an approach which encompasses the entire cleat and enables it to be screwed into the shoe. Well constructed and should last a lifetime of golfing.

Replaced the soft spikes on my golf shoes this tool made it a lot easier to do. I was thinking about buying the soft spikes that included a small wrench but decided this small wrench would not give me the leverage to remove and install the soft spikes. The tool is a keeper.

This is the best spike remover/installer that I've used. This is more expensive than the cheaper ones but so far I've replaced 6 sets of golf spikes and it's still going strong. The remover tool with the angled grips removed some very stubborn spikes with no problem. I am an amateur golfer who only recently has gotten decent enough to truly enjoy playing a round. I bought a pair of cleats about four years ago and played around three dozen rounds before taking a look at the soles of my shoes to see what kind of condition the cleats were in. Not surprisingly, they were a little torn up. I ordered the Softspikes Pulsar Golf Cleats Fast Twist Kit and this tool. The tool was exactly what I expected and wanted. It contains one head that makes it very easy to remove old worn out cleats, and a second head to install new cleats. Both heads fit nicely in the handle for storage, so I can just leave it in my bag and it doesn't take up much space. It took me just a couple of minutes to replace the cleats. I've only used it once, but the tool appears to be solidly built and is used for an occasional lightweight job, so I expect it will last for a long time. ... show more
