I broke my left ankle and have to wear a boot for weeks. After 2 days on the boot my back and hip were already hurting. My Doctor recommended a leveler for my right foot so I bought this one. Super easy to put a tennis shoe in and works on either foot. I can drive with it on and it's really helped my pain since I am not lopsided anymore. Highly recommend this product.

If you have to wear an air cast on the other foot, you need this in your life! It was recommended to me by a nurse and it kept my hip from hurting while I wore my air cast for 6 weeks. It has inserts for different height options so it will work with any air cast. Highly recommend.

The evenup did work to make my hips even while wearing the medical boot. It stayed on snuggly to my sneaker. One problem is that the sole is completely flat. So it is not great for your “good” foot. Since one already needs to put more weight on that good foot it seems like it would be important to have it be a better cushion. I could not stand long without having my good foot hurt.

Wow! Great product. It's much better than the lifts my chiropractor sold me. The best feature is that the height is adjustable by removing a layer of the foam. It's so simple, given that the two layers are velcroed together.

I broke my foot and have to use a orthopedic boot for over a month. Once I got the OK to be able to walk in the boot a bit, I realized how much it affected my gait. I had to try a few different shoes and settings with this product to find the right fit. What was happening in my situation was that because my leg with the broken foot was longer than my other leg, when I would take a step I was putting extra pressure on that foot which was causing a lot of pain for the weakened and healing tissues. Once I started walking with this product the foot pain greatly decreased as the pressure was a lot less and I could more easily use my good leg and foot as part of that normal gait. The fit is similar to microspikes or Yak Trax. In fact, lots of people have asked me if it is some traction device on my shoe, and then I explain what it is. I haven't had an issue with it coming off of my shoe or feeling awkward to walk in once I got used to the feel of extra stuff under my shoe. Occasionally the bottom catches on something and feels like it might come off, and I stop to readjust, but it feels secure. The bottom is pretty grippy, but did not do well with some light ice and snow one morning.

After having both hips replaced, then breaking the foot, my hips were in constant pain. I put this on with both lifts and a broad based athletic shoe. Very bad mistake! The heel of the lift kept shifting to the inside and I almost rolled the other foot over, it was so unstable. I tried another pair of tennis shoes (without the super wide heel) and took a lift off and felt much better. I tried a top sider with the lift and left the shoe behind! OOPS! I suggest using a more everyday type of tennis shoe than one that is more appropriate on a court. The rubber strips do stay in place well around the base of the shoe. The strip across the toe was way too long so I turned it upside down so the loose end wouldn't get in the way catching pant legs, etc. Now if we can do something about the tennis shoe and the nice dress......

I got these due to needing a boot for torn achilles tendon. If the first boot I got (Ovation Medical Gen 2 Short Pneumatic Walking Boot) I did not need/use this level up boot. When I saw sports medicine, they told me that I needed a tall boot with a wedge in it. The unevenness was really bad and hard to walk and I immediately came home and started using the even up leveler and it really helps with walking. I was a little worried about twisting my ankle but the leveler very securely fastens to your shoe.
