Assembly took almost 5 hrs because everything is put together with an L wrench and only half of the pieces were labeled so there was a lot of guessing. Once fully assembled, it’s a little wobbly because it’s basically a bed on 4 stilts. Not super sturdy so I would not recommend it for a rambunctious kid. This worked for what we needed size wise because our ceilings are low. There are some features like how its not super think wood that I don’t care for but it does the job. We needed the one full size rail off in order to fit it against the wall and it’s still decently sturdy. You could always anchor it as well. My 7 year old, 65lb child uses this. ... show more

Was alittle warying because no reviews really said it supports an adult. I'm 5'2 108 lbs and haven't had a problem. The weight limit listed is 250 lbs I think. I bought this to create more space in my small room. It does rock, but added extra support by screwing the cabinet to the bed and adding more nails. Love how much extra space it has created in my room. Does come in 2 boxes and they are HEAVY. It definitely is easier to assemble with someone else's help, but not impossible. Took 1 star off because I had to make a home depo trip to make it not rock as much. Which I think is just an issue with how the bed post is made. The cabinet shelfs are a tad smaller than the diagram so I couldn't fit my fabric totes in them. ... show more

Overall, it’s a pretty nice bed. Packaging was good, but unfortunately a few pieces were still cracked. Appeared to be cracked prior to packaging as none of the surrounding parts were damaged, nor was the packaging. Make sure you have a good hardware store close by. My package was short a handful of the 1/4”-20x3” machine screws. Assembly took about 4 hours (including a trip to the hardware store) Instructions are very good. Pay close attention to the parts in the diagram and make sure you orient the parts in the right direction. Some of the wooden dowel holes were reversed from what the images in the instructions showed. Be sure to have a helper for a few steps. If you want evenly spaced slats to support the mattress, the gap measurement is 3-1/16”. Fairly sturdy but does have a little bit of movement. Would have been nice if they provided caps or white vinyl to cover all the screw heads (There are tons and I didn’t notice them in the picture). ... show more

I did have to drill holes in the proper place to secure the bookshelf, but overall my boys love it, the ladder of course hurt their feet and mine, so I got creative with 1inch foam padding, leather wrapping and velcro, feels much better.

Built this loft bed with my son and it was easy for him. Would have wanted an extra hex key to make the build a bit quicker. There were scratches on some pieces that bummed us a bit considering that the product was new. Packaging was good and no issues. Love the bed it is prefect, for my young one. 4 1/2 stars wish I could put that but can’t. The bed did come with marks and scratches. Came packaged good, it is sturdy. Really easier to assemble, step by step instructions. Just the scratches and dents.
