I was tired of storing my cat palace sized plastic carrier. I only use the carrier once a year for vet visits. I purchased this as a replacement. It is a great size for my 12 lb Manx. Thank goodness it has access at the top of the carrier since the end doors are the only thing keeping the carrier upright. As soon as you open one door, that end collapses. The carrier comes with two removable rigid bottoms. One is flat with a sherpa top. The cover is not removable for washing. The second bottom is more of a bed and the cover is removable. Both have velcro to attach them to the bottom of the carrier. This will be fine for short local trips, but I would prefer something more substantial if I was going to fly with my cat. For my use this is perfect.

On the pink carrier looking at it with the name pocket There are two zipper tabs per side On the leftside the zipper doesn't catch both sets of teeth. I was able to take the second zipper tab all the way around My concern is that it is defective nevertheless. I need it next week and will use as is I feel an adjustment to price would suffice.

Underneath the sherpa pad the plastic was torn and kept on tearing while trying to see if it was fixable. I’m not able to use it puppies are very curious and afraid it will tear and possibly eat the tread.

I started off by thinking that it was impossible to set this up for the pet to come and go with one side open, but that's because I am a complete idiot and didn't notice that you can zip up both sides and still open up an entry/exit pocket, lol. So, after realizing my mistake, I zipped up both sides and then opened the second zipper on one side and then my cat was able to come and go as she pleased. Which is important to let your pet acclimate to the carrier and feel comfortable in it at home before you start using it to take them places. With the two sides zippered up, it stays open and upright enough for her to go in, play around, and leave without collapsing. The carrying strap and extra pocket, along with the little food/toy holder that can attach via hook-and-loop are all useful additions. My cat (about two years old) fits in easily without being cramped and likes the comfortable and fluffy mat inside. This is a solid carrier.

There’s also a safety leash with a hook so your cat doesn’t run away when you open the carrier. Soft, removable and easy to wash mats. The mesh panels provide the right amount of ventilation and there are plenty of pockets to store essentials like treats or toys keeping them organized and within reach
