This eyecup was a much-needed upgrade for me. The one that comes on the R6 is rather thin and really didn't shade sunlight. I felt that I would constantly touch the glass with my eye lashes and would smear. other issue would be that had to hold it up so close that my cheeks would touch that back screen adding smudges, sweat on hot days. This new eyecup is perfect and helps keeping my checks from touching the screen and completely blocks out any light. Very comfortable to pull up take photos, should have come from the factory this way. So the product fits well and does what it should. The issue is that if you wear glasses its to long. I cant see my whole viewfinder even when switching to mode 2 so it makes it a little smaller. So i cant use this since I wear glasses. If they would make one that was maybe half the size it would be perfect for glasses users and still larger than the Canon R7 one. ... show more

Size: Replace Canon EF EB Eyecup
I purchased a Rebel T7 recently and found the stock eye cup was not very comfortable in addition to not doing a great job of keeping out extraneous light. The Canon stock eye shade slide off relatively easily and this replacement installed just as easily in its place. This eye cup appears to hold well and does not stick out so far that it is likely to get accidentally knocked off or torn. It is comfortable to the eye. Only time will tell how well this will wear. It appears to be made of similar material as the the stock eye cup. It does do its job of providing extra shading and comfort, so it seems well-designed. Canon would do well to have this as standard equipment. This cup does not interfere with the rear screen. Even though the T7 does not have a touch screen, I would not expect this eye cup to interfere with a touch screen of the same size and distance from the cup as the T7. ... show more

the cheap screwdriver will break your eyepiece screws and strip the heads dont try it you have to order a real 2 millimeter hardened metal tip screwdriver first to open the two screws which seem to have screwlock applied to them by canon then you get a better deeper eyepiece plastic that shields your eye more than the canon ... show more
