A great, very comfortable product. We got the queen cooling comforter. We had a bit of a glitch in that the first one we received (they come vacuum packed into a dense brick, kind of fun to unwrap) had an unfortunate hole- about a 1 cm, round divot, in the cover, leaking it's insides out. Amazon's return/ exchange policy worked flawlessly, though, and we had a new one in days. It's really comfortable. Both my wife and I tend to be hot, even in our cool climate. This is light weight and does in fact feel cooling. The material has a nice, soft feel as well. Our only complaint is that we would have preferred a white option- the grey is not bad, but is not as versatile a color, while white goes with pretty much anything. Other than color, we love this comforter.

This is a great light blanket and the cooling side works quite well. It feels like a swimsuit-type material (see photos for both sides), and it’s very cool to the touch. It’s cool enough that when I took it out of the dryer I thought it was still damp! The other side is not as cooling (by design) but it isn’t particularly hot either. The weight is nice - for being a light and cooling blanket, it has some fairly dense held to it - but it’s not bulky or too fluffy. (Note on the photos: the lights in the room make it look more warm-colored than it actually is. It’s more like a North Carolina Tar Heels blue. The solid color side is the cooling one and the heathered side is a softer non-cooling material. ) I have an upstairs bedroom that is very warm year-round and is sweltering in the summer, even with the central AC at an irresponsibly low temp and several fans in the room. I was really desperate to get restful sleep so I decided to try this blanket. It does help a lot, and when it’s hot enough to wake me up, I turn it so the cooling side is out for a couple minutes and it gets very cool quickly so I can turn it back around and sleep comfortably. The reasons I am rating it four stars instead of five are: first, the price. It’s almost $80 regular price. That’s a lot for a twin (extra long) size blanket! I would happily pay about half that so if you see it on sale, I would still recommend it. The second reason is the care instructions: it is cold wash only and then low tumble dry. Even though it is effective at cooling me off, it’s inevitable that I’ll sweat in my sleep. For this reason, I prefer to wash my bedding with warm water - and it’s just more sanitary that way. If I could wash it warm without worrying about damage or extra wear on the blanket, I would like it better, especially given the high price! Washing it cold only means that I will want to wash it more frequently, which means extra wear. Overall, this is surprisingly effective. I recommend it, especially if you can buy it on sale. I would prefer if it was warm-water washable instead of cold.
