I have snorkled before, but learned on a ful face mask with attached snorkel. These were a good price, so I tried them. Not as heavy or as big as full face, but have to keep snorkel in your mouth. I like these are not as heavy or restricting. Full face masks are heavier but the view is a little better at the top and bottom. Also, full face doesn't have snorkel in your mouth, but its easier to just use a swim mask and can leave the snorkel and not have such a large thing on your head. This swim mask feels secure on my face, something I struggled with with a full face. There is no rubber smell, and is very comfortable. Well worth money for two and will use these next year. Since moving to Florida, get to snorkel more and can loan the second one out to one of the many visitors I have here.

I’m a scuba professional and wanted to pick up some extra snorkeling sets to take friends out and meet our neighborhood wildlife when they visit. My little sister poached my last ones so it was time to replace them. I was pleasantly surprised by this set, especially at their listed price. The masks have comfortable silicone skirts that seal perfectly on my face. The single lens design is a must for me, where the edges do not split the windows between the eyes, for better visibility. The features for adjusting the mask strap and securing the ends are easy to use. The mask strap itself feels soft and sturdy, with the wider head support important for keeping the mask steadily secure on your head. I love that the snorkels clip on instead of having to weave the mask strap all the way through. The flexible fall away tube at the bottom makes them appropriate for scuba diving as well as snorkeling, though I couldn’t find a depth rating for the mask. I am not the biggest fan of the hard plastic construction of the tube, and I actually hate dry snorkels because the way they block water also blocks air, but they can be useful for keeping those newer to the water from accidentally drinking a mouthful. For myself I may try removing the top piece to make a normal snorkel that’s just a tad shorter. And a tip for others who are having problems with fogging. Masks often retain a manufacturing residue on the glass that will make your mask fog up with use. Gently scrub it with some toothpaste on your finger and rinse thoroughly, if you’ve been having fogging issues. Also make sure to keep your mask covered or out of the sun while getting ready to reduce fogging.
