With gimmicky things like this, I usually don’t expect them to work as well as advertised, but this snorkeling mask worked better than any other mask I’ve used. I have facial hair and with the standard masks, this tends to keep it from sealing all the way, so I end up with water in my nose. With this, I had no issues with it sealing. The sizing chart for mask size was helpful. First time in my pool ( I swim laps with it because I'm terrible at breathing on the go) I had no leaks. I did, though, test the blow and purge system by putting water in the mask deliberately and the system worked well. Visibility is wonderful and I'm looking forward to taking the mask with me on my next cruise. I assembled it ok but haven't been able to detach the snorkel part for travel. If you like to snorkel then this is the mask for you. Field of vision is great. No messing around with the snorkel tube while you are in the water. Lets you relax and breath easy. With a full beard it cannot form a tight seal. If you aren't willing to shave, then look at the conventional snorkel set which will serve much better. Nothing in description (or the instructions at least when I purchased) mentioned this and customer service won't do anything to assist as once you have tested it, it is no longer new/unused. The full mask is very different from the traditional snorkel gear. It is big and heavy and has a wider field of view but with some distortion in periphery. You are only advised to surface snorkel, which means no diving. Because of this reason I found the gopro mount unuseful. With you on the surface you definitely want to use a handle to put the camera closer to the fish. It took me some time to get used to it but it is very comfy and has no leaks. The last time I went Snorkeling it was 30+ years ago. It was not a pleasant experience, could never figure out how deal with water coming into the snorkel. I had a recent trip planned for the Caribbean and wanted to enjoy the ocean. So I order this mask. I tested it, for the first time, on a beach worked great. Took about 15 minutes to get used to breathing in it, mostly me telling myself to relax. Then tried it at an aquarium where I went swimming with some dolphins. It was enclosed space with actual fish, which worked out great and booked myself on excursion to a coral reef. I saw people struggling with their snorkel rentals while we were out in the ocean...that would have been me. I had no issues whatsoever. I only really need to come up make sure, it wasn't time to leave. Some were complaining about the waves and dealing with water coming into the snorkel..not me! plus great visibility and comfort!
