I had ordered this snorkeling set to bring on a cruise to the Bahamas - knowing that we'd be going to a couple of beaches known for their fish and reefs. I have snorkeled many times before, but having my own set was nice to not worry about where I could rent one, and using a snorkel someone else had in their mouth... The fit of the goggles was very nice and sealed well without it being overly tight. The quality of the snorkel is wonderful, I did not have any issues with water coming in and it it was easy to breathe while using. My only complaint is the comfort of the fins/flippers. They fit my feet decently (women size 7), and easy to adjust, but the plastic on the top of my foot was quite stiff and would not flex with my feet at all. They quickly hurt my feet and caused a cramp - which is not what you want for swimming. I had to keep my speed fairly low with the fins to be able to use them. Even with the discomfort of the fins - it was worth packing as I got to see wild sea turtles and manta rays! ... show more

This snorkeling set works just fine. I am brand new to snorkeling and wanted to try it locally before signing up for snorkeling excursions on an upcoming cruise, so I ordered this set and used it in the pool. The mask can be adjusted to fit snugly and does not leak. The small amount of water that gets in can be blown out through the nose valve. The snorkel is comfortable in my mouth and was designed well to keep water out (not sure how it would do with waves, since the pool has no waves in it). And the fins, while not big, did fit my large feet since the straps are adjustable and did provide much more propulsion that I can get by just kicking my own feet.     • It Fits Both Mine and My Sons Feet Just Fine
The goggles, snorkel, and flippers all work good. My son is a size 9 1/2 in mens, and I'm a size 6 1/2 in mens, and the flippers fit both of us. They adjust good and easy. The goggles don't leak at all, and the tube blocks water from getting inside the top. We've used them four different times now and they're still just as good as the first time. Snorkel Gear, size S/M 5-9 Review: The fins are longer than I expected. I wear a 10-11 USA female size shoe and was worried these would be too short, but they are not at all. They may even feel a tad wide, but I haven't really snorkeled before, so... I tried a different brand that was marked the same way as the same size, though, and it was smaller. It may have actually had a better feel, but would be extended in the back almost to its limit to accommodate my long feet. They look the same, the sizing is the same (and actually says US 8.5 is the tops, but that must be men's sizing in This One because that is about what I wear in a men's shoe.) Maybe the other is women's sizing. So, heads up, look out for these differences. Like I said though, I believe either will work. We've been quite ill and haven't made it to snorkel yet so can't say about fit in the water. From what I've read, a mask can fit out of water, but not in and you don't know until you try. There are things you can do to help. I recommend reading tips and watching videos on how find a good fit, reduce fogging, etc. Overall I think this is a good starter kit. It will help me see what I like and don't like and get me going. From what I understand though, it's best to test for a great fit and test it underwater first, (in person, if possible). There's plenty to know (like that face shape and size matter a lot), but if you need to order online like I felt I did, I think getting this snorkel set is a good jumping off point. ... show more
