  • Easy to use, cuts nicely, battery life is good.
I have a vacation spot where I use this mower. I couldn’t be happier with it. It’s light weight, battery will last most of the yard. I have thinner grass so no problem for this mower. When it hits heavier patches of leaves or grass it speeds up the blades to compensate. Very nice feature. The self propelled is controlled by the handle bar and speed controlled by a lever. Usually it’s up 3/4 way speed. I have the matching leaf blower so it was great to have that extra battery. My son even cuts the grass with it , it’s light enough for him. So far I’m very happy. ... show more

  • easy battery removal
The mower works effortlessly. I was surprised. It is easy to start; press the button for the electrical system, wait a half second, then press the bar to engage the cutting blade. Easy to remove the battery for recharging. When reinstalling the battery, remember to push it in until the gray clip engages the battery. Big click sound. For easy removal, disengage the gray clip and the battery itself pushes out a little so it is easy to grasp and remove. During mowing, when you desire to make a turn, disengage the motorized wheels a half second, then turn the mower, and reengage the wheels. It is also a breeze to raise and lower the wheels to control the cutting height. I am 77 years old and mow on a hill; I do not use the motorized wheels when going downhill; light pushing is sufficient for me. ... show more

  • Don't be fooled, this IS a real Lawn Mower - DOWNGRADING REVIEW!
I hate to downgrade my review but I have too. Overall the mower is still fantastic, but I decided to buy a back up battery and you CANOT GET ONE! Major fail on Snapper's part to not support their products!! I mean this thing is only two seasons old and I am screwed if my one battery ever dies? Based on Snappers poor decision, I can no longer recommend this mower, or any other Snapper products for that matter. <!-- INITAL REVIEW--!> After reading a ton of reviews I settled on this model for price and capabilities. Yes I was worried about battery life and "power", but have been pleasently surprised. I have had to cut my yard three times so far this season. The first time I charged the battery fully and hoped it would do the yard... Well, my yard is pretty small, I'd say quarter of an acre. I had almost 1/2 charge left on it. I cleaned the mower, charged the battery and thought "well that was easy".. Then the rains came... oh boy.. 3 inches over 10 days.. let's just say my yard was now a jungle. I thought I would have a hard time getting through it and no way the battery would last. This is where I found out that this is a real mower. Popped in the battery, raised the mower 1 setting and it never even bogged down. went through fairly wet 5 inch tall grass just fine. Battery lasted just fine. Again, cleaned the mower and put the battery on charger. Just cut the yard for the third time a few days ago. Of course the grass was only about 3 inches tall, so I lowered the mower back to its lowerst setting, but again I flew right through it. Used about half a charge. Overall, this mower is great, for someone used to a gas engine, the weight is about the same, a little lighter. My yard is fairly level but does have a few rough spots, this mower doesn't even get phased. I will continue to clean it every use and charge the battery. For the money, I am pleasently surprised at this mower. ... show more

  • Nice mower with lots of great features
I love this lawnmower - it does a great job, is quiet, easy to store and has a battery life of about 1 hour for mowing. I had forgotten how wonderful a self propelled mower is! It is easy to handle for this senior citizen. The one con is that on my second use, I broke the side deflector chute. Finding the replacement part has been difficult, a generic chute is not available . After reaching out to Snapper, I learned that this part is in the system, but not available - the gentleman could not say why. My local lawnmower parts dealer was able to order the part, which remains on backorder for over two months. Thank goodness I was able to duct tape the broken chute together and use it. I did contact Amazon initially to see if they could help with locating the replacement part - the representative’s only advice was to return the mower. ... show more

  • Quiet, environmentally friendly, lightweight mower!
I had been using a reel mower for over a decade in my 1/6 acre lot at my old house. When I moved to a much larger lot (1/2 acre) with healthier grass, I was struggling. I bought this because I hate the noise/pollution of gas mowers and it does the job really well. With all the rain we've had this year in Minnesota, the grass is thick and still growing pretty quickly even into late September. I've used it three times and it takes about 45 minutes to mow the yard. It's light enough that I don't need to use the self-propelled feature and very easy to maneuver. When I'm in the house and my boyfriend is mowing the lawn, I can't even hear the mower. Great purchase, if your needs are similar to mine! ... show more

  • Just a great mower
I, a 75-year old woman who likes mowing lawn, like nearly everything about this mower. 1) It took my neighbor less than 10 minutes to get it out of the box and have it ready to go. 2) The charger and battery are small and easy to manage. The battery is about the size and shape of a 4-lb. bag of sugar; I can carry it one hand. 3) It's an easy flick of a little lever to change the speed of the self-propulsion: If I'm getting tired, I just slow it down for a bit. The handles and bars are comfortable in my hands, and my neighbor easily adjusted them to accommodate my height. 4) It's cut down tall weeds and thick grass with relative ease. 5) The mulching capability is excellent. At least during these first two or three months of using this mower, I'm loving it! ... show more

  • Not the Best Mower I've Ever Used
The mower does a decent job of cutting grass. However, I could not find an extra blade. I got the manufactnurer's model number and was told by Snapper that it would be stocked at dealers but after several months of checking, that never happened. I found a universal blade from Maxpower that was suppose to work. However, their 20" blade is about an 1/2" longer than the blade that comes with the mower. I'm going to try to grind it down. Now, after just over a year the battery isn't accepting a charge. And, to make matters worse it's not in stock at Amazon. I would not recommend this mower. ... show more
