    • These make siding replacement so much easier
Occasionally I have to replace several damaged pieces of Cement Board siding. I work alone, so it is rather difficult to hold a 12 foot piece of heavy siding in place and fasten it, especially when i'm on a ladder, 15 feet off the ground. These installation tools make it so much easier. I just clamp the tools in place near each end of where the next course is going, and then I can rest the siding on the tools and fasten them to the structure. The tools are easily adjustable and the hole pattern allows you to set it to almost any overlap dimension that you will need or encounter. The most important part of this tool is the clamp. I have used this tool several times and the clamp is easy to engage, and it holds tight. The only time that I have any movement of the tool is when I drop some siding into place. A large force downward will make this tool move, but for any normal installation, these clamps hold tight, just like I expected. ... show more

I've wanted the Gecko siding tools my local lumber yard sells for years, but I couldn't ever justify the $80 they wanted for them so I've been making my own out of scrap wood. Then I came across these. For $28. As far as I can tell, other than the color, they're identical and that's great. Most of the hardware seems to be stainless steel and everything is assembled well. Adjusting the tools for your desired reveal is easy and takes only seconds to do. The cam lever operates smoothly and combined with the knurled rubber strap grabs onto the siding firmly. If you've ever installed siding by yourself, you will understand how invaluable these things can be. They increase both your speed and precision. These are a lifesaver if you are installing cement board lap siding by yourself. It is like having an extra set of hands to hold the siding while you nail it off. This allows you to hang siding with one person or have two people hanging the siding in different area's, thereby increasing productivity. In addition the siding tools can be adjusted give you the correct overlap on the siding so that you have equal spacing of the siding and maintain the leveling. This is such a time saver because before I would have to mark each piece of siding to have the correct amount of overlap. These clamp on the piece of siding below it and have a shelf that holds the siding being installed. I have used these on two siding jobs and they have worked great. They hold well and are easy to adjust for differ size siding. My only concern with this product is that they are plastic and not sure how long they may last. But they really have already paid for themselves on the first job. If you are a doing a siding job these will save you so much time and effort ... show more

I have used homemade wooden installation spacing gauges for many years; however, they do not have clamps to quickly set the gauges in place. When I saw these Drusolell manufactured polycarbonate siding installation tools I decided to upgrade. These installation tools are well made, durable and very functional. The clamping surface is stiff rubber with ribs that firmly grasp the siding, holding firmly without marring freshly painted siding. These tools have an adjustable pin that allows the lap profile/ exposure to be adjusted from 4 inches to 8 inches, in ¼-inch increments. These siding installation tools speeds up lap siding installation, especially when one works alone. These are well worth the price and will pay for themselves the first time they are used. ... show more

    • Right Tool for the Job
My last siding project I hand-made my own jig to maintain proper spacing/overlap, but I always had to be within arm's reach to hold it in place. This is so much better. This fits Hardi-plank siding perfectly and you can let go with one hand as you nail/screw in the other end of the board - and still keep everything aligned. Was surprised it was not made of metal, but polycarbonate plastic is incredibly durable, so these should be fine. Have another big siding project coming up this summer and these will get a workout. ... show more

I recommend the Drusolell Siding Installation Tools. Somebody really cared about designing and building quality tools. I use Hardie Board siding on my house and outbuildings, largely because I'm in a California wildfire hazard area. These little tools will really make installing this siding alone a lot easier. ... show more

These siding install tools are good quality and worked well. Fit Hardie board cement siding, which is 5/16 inches perfectly.
