This worked right out of the box. It's lightweight and I appreciate the child safety feature. It goes through the sturdy Amazon boxes very easily and seems to hold a charge for a reasonable amount of time - it's hard to say, I don't have stacks and stacks of boxes to break down.

I recently picked up the SnapFresh Cordless Electric Scissors 4V Mini Box Cutter for cutting cardboard packages and light materials. It makes slicing open boxes, plastic bands, and thin cardboard much easier than with manual scissors — convenient if you process a lot of shipments. The cordless design and included charger are nice, and it’s straightforward to operate. On the downside, it struggles with thicker or tougher materials like dense cardboard, heavy plastic, or leather — it's fine for package opening but not a serious “shop-tool.” The blade replacement is easy enough, but for frequent heavy-duty use, you’ll want something more powerful.

At 79 years of age, cutting boxes with knives & scissors was the bane of my existence - sometimes taking hours due to the stack that accumulated. I read the capabilities of EVERY SINGLE ONE of the electric cutters Amazon sells and settled on this "Snapfresh" cordless. I am surprised at how easily this thing can slice thru cardboard...thick and thin! Obviously, 1/4" takes a little more 'oomph' but that's to be expected. I owe nothing to the company that makes these things; I'm simply happy with the cutter and believe anyone would be just as happy. My recommendation - buy with confidence!

I’m so glad I picked up the SnapFresh Cordless Electric Scissors! This little tool is a game changer when it comes to cutting through cardboard, plastic, and even leather. I do a lot of unpacking, crafting, and occasional DIY projects, so having an easy-to-use, efficient cutting tool has been a lifesaver. Design and Build First off, the design is sleek and modern. The green color is vibrant but not too overpowering. It feels solid and comfortable in my hand, and I love the ergonomic handle—no strain on my fingers or wrists, even during extended use. The size is perfect for precision cutting without being too bulky or unwieldy. Performance I was honestly impressed by how well it cut through thick cardboard. The 4V motor gives just the right amount of power to glide through materials smoothly, and it’s far less effort than using regular scissors or a box cutter. It’s also surprisingly quiet, which is a big plus for me. Leather? No problem! I was able to make clean cuts without any fraying or difficulty.
