I have been looking for a new camping chair for the past several months. My husband and I like to go camping and also sit with friends outdoors around a campfire. So in the past, I’ve always bought the collapsible chairs that come in a bag that were relatively inexpensive. They usually were under $20. Those types of chairs only lasted about 2 years before they would break down. I decided to upgrade this year to a new chair. I debated back and forth between a collapsible chair, an anti gravity chair, or a rocker. Each type of chair had its own pros and cons beginning with value, portability, use, and construction. By and far, the rocker is the best choice. The GCI Freestyle Rocker is on the more expensive side compared to other chairs, but you get what you pay for. The first thing you notice is that there are no bags that it fits in, which is great because who wants to keep up with a bag when you go out. Next, the chair lays flat until you push down on the seat to set it up. Super easy to do, even a child could do it. The material that the seat is made of is very well made and comfortable to sit on. The frame that holds the seat seems very strong. The rocking action is the best part! You seem to move forward and backward with very little effort. When you choose to stop and get out of the chair, it doesn’t seem unstable at all. The bonus to this particular chair was the attached table. No worries to hook or unhook a table that may get lost. The table is affixed with hinges that seemed very strong. The table has 2 cup holders, a place for a cell phone that included a hole for a charging cord, and a cutout that is probably meant for a wine glass stem. There is also room for a book or plate on that same table. All in all this table has now become a favorite in my household and the chair that all our friends gravitate too when we have social events. I would definitely recommend this chair to others and may even buy some more for when company comes to visit. ... show more

This chair is amazing. I was happy to get it early on before the cost of this chair went up. It's a huge value for what I spent. I enjoy sitting stationary or having the ability to rock back and forth. It isn't too noisy and everyone loves how much stuff that table can hold. I feel completely safe sitting in it since it holds 350lbs. I feel like this unit is easy to fold up, but it will stretch the length of your trunk. Study and comfortable for the amount of cushion. I liked this bare-backed rocking chair from the moment I sat in it. I like the unique way it rocks. It feels more steady to me. I just happen to be a lady who needs just a little more cushion, lol, so I ordered the most comfortable cushions on Amazon I could find for my new red rocker. Rocking is so easy in this chair. I never feel unsteady. The reason I gave it four stars is because I was not as comfortable without chair cushions. With cushions I ordered and placed in it, it is now my favorite outdoor rocking chair. As for every day use, this rocking chair is easy to unfold and set-up. It’s easy to rock. It’s sturdy, and that matters most to me because I have balance problems. When I rock in this chair, I feel a sturdy durable good quality chair.
