    • Seems like a pretty sturdy crossbar
I have yet to actually test this on our upcoming 1700 mile road trip but compared to the aftermarket crossbars I also bought on Amazon for my 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, these seem much much sturdier and secure. Shipping was quick but not overnight. The box arrived undamaged which is increasingly rare these days with my Amazon shipments. Assembly and installation was very easy until Step 8. This is where you are instructed to tighten the 4 screws that adjust the crossbars' width. Once the bars were on the roof of my 2024 Hyundai Tucson Limited I had a Hell of a time trying to reach underneath the mounted crossbars to tighten them. Things were much easier on the front bar because the moonroof was open and I could reach up to tighten those screws. But the back bar's screws are still not firmly tightened because it was impossible to line up the provided wrench with the screwheads to turn them. Out of the hour iit took me to unbox, assemble and mount the crossbars at least 45 minutes were spent trying to get the right angle to keep the wrench in the screws and turning them. You have to use the short end of the screwdriver/wrench to get underneath lest you scratch up the moonroof and the metal roof trying to gain purchase. They still aren't as tight as they should be, but as long as they don't simply fall out, the crossbars SHOULD stay in place. I'm considering marking the exact alignment of the crossbar with the clamps, then disassembling everything from the roof, then tightening those width adjusting screws before remounting the entire crossbar again. ... show more

    • Fast, easy, durable.
I installed this on my wife's car today. The process took about 15-30 minutes. (Pro tip: grab a drill and a t30 bit to speed up the process a bit) I grabbed a hold of the rails after installation and shook the entire vehicle. *Slaps roof rack* That ain't going nowhere. I strapped an 8' A frame ladder to the top and she drove 30 minutes home, and says she completely forgot it was there. Thank goodness I double checked my straps. This is an overall very easy to use roof rack that anybody can install (instructions and allen key included). It's worked so far, I'll update if a problem occurs. ... show more

The material and hardware used to assemble the carrier are good quality. It fit my vehicle well and seems sturdy enough for my intended use as a kayak and small cargo carrier rack. I'll use my own straps since the included ones are not adequate. The instructions are close to worthless but it only took me a few minutes to figure it out. Do yourself a favor and toss the included tool and use a ratchet with a deep well socket. You can do it with just the wrench but it will take awhile. ... show more

    • Function as advertised but had one come off the car
The product seemed to be well built. The cross bars fit the car very well and were easy to install. We used them along with separately purchase accessories to transport kayaks about 3 times over a 4 month period. After a recent long trip without anything installed on the cross bars, we arrived home to find one of the two cross bars missing. There was no evidence of damage to the rails where the cross bar was installed and it was originally installed very tightly per the instructions. We believe that the clamping fasteners must have vibrated loose. The clamping bolts include a split washer that I assume is intended to prevent loosening but it may not be sufficient. Split washer may not be the best hardware to prevent vibration loosening in critical applications. The product was otherwise satisfactory. If you have these installed, check to be sure they are secure before every drive. ... show more

this is the 2nd set of cross bar we got for the new 2024 hyundai tucson. the roof real is flashed with the room, our tucson sel has no sun roof or moon roof. this produced come with a set of cross bars, one is for the front and other is for the rear. it has different length. the clamp works as designed and very sturdy that graped on the roof rails. it has an anti-theft cover that you can close up at each of 4 clamps. it costs far less than some of the brands. ... show more
