The instructions were somewhat hard to follow at first, but once I got familiar with the parts and pieces, the install went smoothly. I received these items the day before my trip, and the roof rack I had ordered came in all smashed up somehow. I went and bought a temporary rack to use as I waited for my replacement to come in. Yes they do not come with instructions but have instructions on the Amazon product information. That being said not super clear. I felt it was much easier to fit the ends to the bars and place the small holding screws then place the whole bar on the car and adjust the length from there. Also another tip, maybe obvious to some, place the bar I to the ends rubber strip up. The rest of the directions are pretty good. All in took about 30 minutes give or take to install. They are sturdy and seem to be of good quality having owned multiple. Happy travels. ... show more

Unfortunately, no written instructions as to how to assemble and attache to vehicle are included. This makes no sense to us. If it were not for another purchaser who made detailed instructions with photos of his installation in the reviews I do not think my husband and I could have installed. We may have gotten into an argument as well, but thankfully we did not. Once installed they work as designed and we haul our kayaks now easily. ... show more

Did not fit my 2020 Explorer as it said it would. This was a definite waste of time....highly recommend just going to a store to purchase. Very disappointed.
